Just watched episode 1 and tbh i didnt enjoy it at all. i somehow felt annoyed and just wanted that 45 minutes to end quickly. i cant seem to pinpoint the main reason why i felt this way; is it bcos of the acting? the script? the storyline? all of the above? idk.. i read the comments and most of the complaints are about the dubbing, but i dont really find the dubbing bothersome. im thinking of dropping this drama but i'll decide after i watch the first 4 episodes. maybe it'll get better as the story develops.
the ML & FL look great together, they could easily pass as a real couple. i find myself enjoying dramas with leads that have visual chemistry, as if they were made for e/o. an example would be kim soohyun + seo yeji, hyunbin + son yejin and nam joohyuk + lee sungkyung. hopefully this drama will be a good one too cuz i really look forward to it.
The fl make up in the changan youth is more thicker than Jujingyi?
i havent watch changan youth but i watch some of the clips on youtube. i agree tht her make up is thicker (and uneven smh). but wenxi has more feminine traits than the FL in changan youth. u can see from their physical (FL in changan youth is tall, almost the same height with the ML and other male casts) and also wenxi's voice is softer than the FL in changan youth.
I wish the FL had less eye and lip makeup. she couldve appeared less feminine if they did a natural look for her. cuz in general, she doesnt even look that manly so theres no reason to tone down any manliness? (if that makes sense lol)
It seems okay for me so far. The chemistry between the casts is good, I don't feel any awkwardness between them. There are a few things that i hope wont prolong throughout the drama.
1. ML and FL's relationship I expect their romance to bloom somewhere around episode 10-12 but the drama is already halfway complete and the ML still didn't know the FL's real identity. Hopefully they won't drag this whole 'friendzone' thing on otherwise they'll make their relationship appear rushed.
2. Han Shumin's character At first i liked her character because this drama needs that one bubbly character for us to adore. but she ended up becoming this obsessive person who'd do anything for the guy. it's such a shame that her character got wasted like that. Now that she has decided to become a student of that storyteller (refer episode 18), i hope that as she gains more knowledge, she will realise her worth.
Update: Made it until episode 25 and so far i'm enjoying how the story flows. In the beginning, i watch this drama mainly for the romance and assumed tht friendship/ family/ etc were the side themes. But as the story develops i realised romance was never the main theme. This drama focuses more on their friendship + them fighting for justice and gender equality. So, to anyone who hasnt watch sungkyungkwan scandal (like me) i hope this comment will help u to know what to expect from the drama ☺
Spoiler based on assumption: I really think noh aejung will end up with oh daeoh. If u guys watch the behind the scenes clips on youtube, theres this one video where they ask questions about e/o and while other casts hv questions about their own character, one of jihyo's question is related to oh daeoh while hojun's question is related to noh aejung. Even jihyo said tht viewers should look frward to oh daeoh's charms as if hinting tht he'll undergo a major character development and eventually became 'the one'. Just my assumption tho
Yesss another kdrama that got me hooked in the 1st episode. Judging from the first two episodes, this drama has potential. It's been so long since ive watched a reverse-harem drama and so far, this drama did not dissappoint. Song jihyo is perfect for the FL. Im also looking forward to each of the four MLs' storyline.
idk if im the only one who felt this at episode 9:
i was angry when the FL accepted the project proposal tht her EX BF aka the sly dude knowing damn well that the ML wont accept it (and will definitely be dissappointed at her). Also the scene at the table where they gather to decide on whether they should proceed the proposal or not. Why is her EX BF against the proposal (sitting with the ML's side) and why didnt the FL question this? It just seems off to me.
Anyways after taking my time to put myself in the FL's shoes, i understand why she would go against the ML. atm she was probably pushing away her feelings towards the ML cuz her main priority is still going back to where she came from; the future (year 2020). and in order to do tht, she needs to accomplish her mission. She needs to make the directors/ shareholders trust the ML to lead the company, hence proceed with the proposal to satisfy them. Another reason was probably the flashback, i dont know if im right but it seems like the FL experienced past sorrows related to the rare flower. i think her dad died while searching the flower so basically she was worried it'll happen towards the ML too. So i understand her decision, she was being objective and yes, it was the safest way but definitely not easy for the ML to accept.
Anyways, isnt it weird tht his EX BF in the future who is still in a relationship with her '2010 self' atm, tried to flirt with her (thts basically cheating eventho they're the same person but still, her EX BF didnt know they were the same person). i wouldve stayed away from him if i was the FL.
