LMK actually played many outspoken/talkative roles before, especially in his early career. In his recent roles,…
exactly! i was about to say this. a lot of kdrama fans dont know that his early roles are mainly the chatty type since they only recognise him from those dramas u mentioned. lmk is basically going back to his roots with his current role as changhee (probably a more mature version, but still talkative)😆
just a general review since we're alrady halfway thru the drama. i actually enjoyed this version mainly bcos of the female casts. all of them are powerful women in their own ways. what i didnt like was some parts of the acting. the comedic scenes were good but when it comes to emotional scenes, i feel like they still need to improve, especially bright. his crying scene werent as convincing as i hope it would. tu on the other hand is good at it (considering this is her debut drama, she did well). but there is a scene where i find her crying being out of place (the one where she cried and hug ren on the rooftop). but i think thats a problem in the directing aspect. i hope to see tu in a new project with good production team where she can grow as a better actress bcos she does hv potential
this is why i dont trust mdl ratings. the first 6 episodes are so binge-able. if u plan to watch this drama then go for it! the next episodes are about to get more interesting. hopefully they'll continue the momentum
some of the scenes bothered me like how they wore the same outfits on different days eventho theyre crazy rich (probably bcos of limited budget, but i wish they could at least do proper planning for this), xixi and ruona's sudden friendship despite the lack of interaction, and many more. but i watched this as a filler drama + without any expectations. so considering how i managed to finish the drama, i guess it wasnt that bad. in conclusion, it's a light watch with good acting and no overbearing drama (since all of them are settled within 1 episode)
i kinda bingewatched this in between my free time since it's just 30++ minutes long. very light, lots of cliches obviously but somehow the first half of the drama is kinda disturbing to me. i didn't like the way the ML and 2nd ML treat their counterparts. you know; the wrist grabbing, manipulated kiss, forced kiss etc... the leads' chemistry with e/o is good tho. i wouldn't mind to see this pairing again in a different drama ^^
update: so, the 2nd half basically showed character growth of both ML and his friend. that's good ^^
i enjoyed watching sooyoung's acting in tell me what you saw so i decided that i'll give this one a try. not a fan of ssk's acting but hopefully i see a better side of her through this drama.
HELP PLS! I only finished ep 1 and Im in love with Bokgi but i have some questions about the drama, Is Bokgi involved…
she kinda had a thing with jaewook (edward) but he betrayed her so theres almost little to no romance left for them. she's one of the lead characters so you'll see a lot from her.
ive watched 5 episodes so far and tbh I'm disappointed with the drama. probably bcos despite my expectations being not that high, it still didn't manage to reach it. I'm blaming it on the storyline i guess since I hv no problem with their acting. i still hv 5 episodes left so it's such a waste to drop it. but might reconsider to drop it since the currently ongoing kdramas are probably more worth my time.
such a fun drama! i had a good laugh watching the first 5 episodes. but I gotta say, some of the transitions were kinda choppy (idk if it was intentional or not). i still enjoy the drama tho and will look forward to the next episodes
just finished ep 1 and omg loveeee their chemistry! luo yunxi is such a hottie, I keep squealing everytime he's on screen. this drama has such a solid start. I'm really looking forward to the next episodes
Could you spoil a bit for me? After watching the first 10min the drama really doesn’t seem to match up with…
sorry this is gonna be long :))
in episode 1 we know that yifan had a crush on her exschoolmate now collegemate, yanke. during high school, she was kinda boyish (in appearance and attitude) so she wanted to impress yanke by changing her whole look (more feminine) when she enters college.
episode 1 was confusing cuz we dont know what yanke felt about yifan (in the past and present) but episode 2 onwards had a lot of yanke's pov which helps to clear out the confusion.
this is a spoiler for episode 2 onwards:
Yanke thought that Yifan is Xiaosong (yifan's bestfriend) bcos at that time when they first met (yifan saving yanke from getting bullied), Yifan wore Xiaosong's jacket that has his name on it. also yifan and xiaosong had the same hairstyle so Yanke mistaken her as a boy.
credits to user @Mina: At the end of episode 2, he realized that Qi Xiaosong (real) is not his former crush, and seeing Xiong Yifan and Qi Xiaosong together on the bus he recalled the time they met. In episode 3, he asked her directly who she was exactly and she pulled her hair behind her back saying does it looks familiar like this? so he confirmed she was his former friend. He knows her face, is that he had always thought she was a boy (present Yifan is really girly) and ended falling for her thinking she was a boy.
The thing is that unlike other dramas Yan Ke reaction is more of a shocked/awkward/confused person . instead of the typical "I'm relieved you're a girl and that I'm not gay now" bs that is always on dramas.
All in all, it was yanke who fell for yifan first (as a boy) and after knowing the truth about her identity, he still accepts his feelings towards her.
eps 1 was kinda so-so for me (probably bcos i was still confused bout yifan and yanke's relationship/ feelings towards eo) but after eps 2 onwards, all my confusion has been cleared out and i find myself enjoying those cute moments they had. also, i loveeeee the friendship btween yifan, dingming and xiaosong. their friendship felt so real and relatable. im looking frward to see how the story develops :D
so far, ive reached eps 14 and i just love how firm their relationship is. they werent easily swayed by other people and everytime a misunderstanding happens, they directly address it. hopefully it will continue to be like this cuz this kind of relationship is so refreshing to me (after watching tons of dramas where couples have never-ending fights due to lack of communication). feel free to recommend me some asian dramas that have these kind of healthy relationship :D
