Yes, despite some flaws in the storyline, the whole cast and production conveyed a beautiful message and taught us all a great lesson.
Me too, there were many great aspects to this drama, and i focused on them instead.

○There. Exactly, exactly what this drama is about. What do you do in the face of a decision, a choice? Which path will you choose to take? Will you take a gamble, or will you play it safe? If, and what are you willing to sacrifice?
Also, is there really a better choice? A different path?
Is there really such a thing as fate?

Allen Fang has multiple identities, but his story wasn't explored enough. Where's the backstory? Where's our ML's screentime? His screentime is too little for a ML with multiple identities. How he became Huo Qing Yu from Na Yan Xing, how he became a powerful northern lord, all these weren't explored well enough.
○Personally, i didn't really like the ml character much, and this definitely plays a part in why. Because we didn't get to explore him and his story enough, i couldn't feel the same connection with him as i did the other characters, mainly fl. Because we knew what the fl was fighting for, who she was, where she came from, what she wants to do, we could build that relationship with her character, where we stand by her side and want her to win.
But because there was a lack of backstory for our ml, i couldn't build a connection with his character. There was not much there for me to want to stay and fight for his side.

Two stabs, then finally, a slit to the throat. Wow, how ruthless. Ruo Wen died ? Huang Bei and Ge Xin Wei stabbed Na Zhan decisively and brilliantly. Really, I love that scene, he thought he's facing two weak ladies, little did he know he's facing intelligent women. They cut him off guard. Huang Bei Shuang broke her flute into two and stabbed Na Zhan with it, while Ge Xin Wei used Ruo Wen's sword. I really love that scene, Huang Bei Shuang always doing the unthinkable.//
○Na zhan's fatal flaw was overconfidence. He thought he had it all, Ruo wen died by his command, HQY was nowhere to be seen, the throne was all his, all threats were eliminated. Yet there was 1 thing he overlooked, their women: Huang bei shuang and Ge xin wei. Though HBS may be a woman, she is not someone whose strength, power, and knowledge should be undermined. And GXW isnt called Madwoman for no reason, but now she's not just mad, she's furious and she's grieving, and she's got a grudge to appease, a score to settle. When 2 such women come together, there's no stopping them.
