A bit skeptical about this because asian dramas really havent perfected the whole sci fi fantasy thing. Reading the plot and seeing 12 episodes also dosent help because it seems a lot is happening so it might not be clearly explained. But still fingers crossed and hoping it can really make way for the whole sci fi sector in asian dramaland.

For me more than DOTs she is always going to be Kim Ji Won from High Kick much like the rest of the cast from that show.

Curiosity got better of me and i started watching this but now i am only left with are just so many questions which probably wont be answered until next year since it takes more than a month for one episode to be subbed. If you dont understand the language then its best to not start watching otherwise you will regret it like i am right now.

Why why does it have to be only 44 episodes. Never thought i would love a medical drama this much. Really have to applaud the director and writer for making this such wonderful drama. Especially like how everything is so straight forward whether it was the happy times or bad times. Was really afraid how they would do Chen Xi learning about Zhang Shu but was really impressed with the director. Well few more episodes to go just hope they end it in high.

The way its subbing maybe have to put a time capsule to check if its completely subbed instead of coming everyday hoping atleast one episode is subbed. If only I could just learn the language it would be so much easier.

Dont understand whats the big deal about the story having similarities. I wouldnt mind watching a story if its a complete copy of another as long as the end result is as good as NIF was. I have read or seen so many stories that its easy to always find similarities in new ones. The story actually has a very small percentage on a show being success or failure, its rather a combination of production, acting and directing which matters most and also a reason why NIF became such success. There are a lot of shows which had a very good story but has bad ratings because they failed on those aspects which resulted in bad execution. Given different circumstances and both EL and NiF could have been flop. So instead of comparing just relish on the fact that they became masterpieces of chinese tv.

Its been a while since watched this but still havent found a lead who is such a badass without even lifting a finger. What more could define as being badass than having four armies ready to rage war for you when you are literally on death bed. Impressive thing was that he had resources and he wasnt afraid to use them irrespective of whether it was good or not. There are many shows where mc faces problems but doesnt use every resource he has which makes me really mad.

Comparing El and NIF is like saying pears are same as mangoes, both are sweet but different colors. You just cannot compare El with Nif. One is completely about romance and the other about a badass mc who makes everyone dance to his tunes. One plays with your heart and another with your mind(although nif has a more tragic story).

The show is more about the process and preparations that go into a successful surgery rather than surgery itself which is good because i hate hospitals as it is and dont want to have nightmares by knowing what happens in the table. Also like how even though they say the leads are best at what they do, they are still afraid of failure. There are some shows where its like "they are so good that they can do anything" which is totally bullshit.

Recent modern c-dramas are doing what j-dramas do well by mixing up their stories with new and unique stuff but better than jdramas because of higher production which is where k-dramas are falling behind.

Really wish the networks would understand that they have huge international viewers and would try to provide subtitles inorder to make their shows more popular.

i feel that kdramas dwell more on the "Throne" that it makes them too much one sided that there is basically no room for other things. There are many dramas that start off nice and then things go bad because of throne which makes me loose interest. It would be nice to see a korean historical without any politics.

Is that the end because it really doesnt feel like, plus it seems the story was cut short at the end. Or it could be just me not wanting it to end. Everyones saying about Mark doing a fantastic job but have to say i am really impressed with Yang Mi. The way she played the carefree Si Yin then docile sweet Su Su and fiery Bai Qian was simply good. Especially at the end where she played the figurine Su Su and heartbroken Bai Qian simultaneously. Anyways now that it has ended have to go through withdrawal syndrome for a few days before i find something else to replace.


For some reason have enjoyed watching chinese historicals more than korean ones. Its just so easier to the eyes maybe because of such high production values that it becomes more of fantasy (most of them are) than a historical story.

why isnt this movie getting subbed properly. rarely do you get such type of action stories,so it sucks that its been months and i still cant watch it.

after watching few more episodes i realized the difference is that the romance here is more of between married couple which is why it is soo sweet to watch.

after watching 20 episodes the thing that i like about this drama is that the romance is more natural than the glossed over ones that you find in dramas. there isnt any lovey dovey scenes or awkward romantic cheesy moments, its just two people who have fun in each others company which to me feels more realistic and hence enjoyable to watch their interaction.

the drama that made me a huge Jang Hyuk fan. his facial emotions were so in point that you didnt have to listen the dialogue and still understand what he is going through. plus you look at him and think he would be good at action and thriller, so to pull off emotional scenes and make you feel his pain is just soo damn amazing.

its takes t-dramas soo long to finish and get subbed that it sometimes looses the initial excitement you feel...

not to take anything away from Joon, its just that i dont really see him as a member of criminal minds. its supposed to be a remake and unless they change from original there really isnt a suited role for him. i dont see him playing the role of Reid which btw i dont think anyone can do as good as Matthew.

while waiting for next week started watching the bts and now i think i love them more than the actual show. its just soo damn funny watching them shoot....

In an interview Emma Watson said something like her brother says she looks like a bunny rabbit when angry, after watching Park Bo Young in this i understand that completely...
