Going to start this atlast. MCS is the most badass character i have seen who i wouldnt want to mess with in real live, which is why i have been hesitating a bit. But the ratings and reviews are too good for me avoid this any longer.
Been wanting to watch this ever since JBL and am so glad that i did because the ratings do no justice to this, its so much better than the ratings indicate. The best thing about this show is that, its a very ordinary show about the lives of ordinary people and how they tackle problems created in those ordinary life. There is no dramatic fuss of any kind or anything unusual about and you know from the beginning about whats happening and whats gonna happen but you still watch because its beautiful how the story unfolds. At some point i felt there should be a drama about MR, of what goes in his head and especially about how he is curious about things that other people are not about. I wanted them to end with So So taking Ma Ru home because not only it would have signified that she succeeded but also because her family is so crazy that i thought Ma Ru would have fitted there perfectly.
The chemistry between the leads was both the pro and con for me. The whole reset part felt totally pointless because what happened, happened anyways. Instead of doing rest if the truth would have come out then maybe we would have had more good and funny moments of our leads which would have made it a perfect drama for me. The last two episodes made it more obvious and also proved that if you have amazing chemistry then just a easy rom-com is more than enough. Still happy to have seen this and also it had pretty good ending with everyone finding both love and success.
Need another sweet and funny drama to watch but unfortunately cant find a good one... :(
So very well said! It is one of the reason I don't hate even a single character in this drama.
They had great potentials with Sang Man and Wan Jin but sadly they didnt bother. Especially Sang Man with his quirky knowledege and chinese or manga references gave good moments.
I don't remember if they showed the exact scene when he was rescued, but his sister mentioned that he got rescued…
Yes there is a scene about him getting rescued though i dont remember the exact ep. He also tells them there is one more person alive but the rescuers find the dead body.

Maybe so but i felt they made GD miserable a bit too much. For some reason they kept piling on his difficulties which was a tad toomuch imo. Its been some time that i saw IOTL so dont know really why but that drama is speacial to me.

Everything was perfect but the only thing wrong i could say would be that, i would have preferred that they showed more of them enjoying life rather than what happened in the last 20 mins. Still it is my second best drama about healing, just missing short. For me IOIL is still the best drama about healing combined with perfect romance and directing.
The thing to learn from this drama is that - no one was at fault, its just all of them were victims of their circumstances. Usually when i watch a drama and something happens, there is someone right and someone wrong, so i take the side of who is right but in this drama many a times some things happened where i couldnt really blame anyone because i somehow understood both sides, which was really frustating. The one scene that totally stomped me was i think episode 8 when GD was desperately trying to hold onto MS because i understood them both which made it really heartbreaking.
The chemistry between the leads was totally amazing which is why i would like to see them in a more lighter setting to truely enjoy them, may be in a rom-com.
Ratings do not do justice to this drama, it should be way more up. Of course Jang Hyuk is the show stealer but i would still like to praise the director of this drama. Few things were done differently in this drama which gave it completely different experience than usually have while watching dramas. Lastly want to do special mention for the music director because of the reasons i posted previously as he was able raise the intensity of the drama with such awesome bgm.
True True! Some of the OST reminds me of Nolan's music frequently used in his movies.
Towards the end of each episode I somehow forget to breath. This music with those hell of a intense end compiled with Hyuk's acting is just too much for a heart to handle.
Recently started watching but had to say something . The thing that i m reminded of the dark knight is that the first time i was watching it, everytime the bgm would start i would get goosebumps all over the body and now for the first time its happening to me while watching a drama. Everytime the slow music starts my heart beats faster and i know something exciting is about to happen. So hats off to the sound producer for giving me this experiance.
Another drama thats gonna make me feel empty for a few days. I both love and hate this kind of dramas which can make you laugh one second sad another then laugh again. It was also a drama that anyone could connect with and actually understand the characters. Plus with the story being in 90s and showing various things of that time like the customes and hairstyles, it reminded me of that time and growing up doing all of those things, it was really nostalgic especially when they were using that hip hop music - great time to grow up. As for the story it was really predictable what was happening and what was going to happen but was amazing was the way they portrayed the story. It could have easily become a just drama but thanks to the writer director cast and everyone involved with the making of this show that it became such a awesome memory for everyone.
