yeah tbh I think he did use a lot of Japanese anime and Chinese donghua as references but the problem is some scenes were very close to the actual references that it could be seen as plagiarism. If we're being honest FOF is also very similar to Inuyasha in a way, so I can see him referencing to this anime. There are also feel of similarity to some other anime, even the humor is very shounen anime-ish. I don't know how many animes and donghua he referenced though.

But due to her father passing she has completely forgotten him and her crush on him was pushed to the back of her mind.
