I am really considering stopping at episode 46 and declaring the drama to have a Happy Ending in my head I don't think my heart can handle it if cute FJM dies! We waited for 45 episodes to see him so carefree and happy. And just when he's smiling and so cute?!? I love that he's still jealous of Youdu! Ha ha ha!

My guess it Gen Tang whose leading the revolt in the last episode. Plus "Uncle Shi" from the clothing Bureau has not been discovered yet.

Totally agree. She is so beautiful in that pink dress when she comes back from the Xiping Port. Wow if I look that good in that color I would wear it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Overall up to episode 38, I think the drama is really good. It's not a romance drama as I originally expected and it's definitely not a love triangle. To be honest, I almost didn't watch it because I normally don't like it when the lead characters don't know who want in the first place so I'm happy the FJM and Xu both have someone they love.

I am just wondering if anyone else thinks that Xu's character in the narrative of the story was so unfairly written in the beginning? There could have been hundred different ways that they could have shown us how angry he was at the situation with Tilan in the beginning but because of the implied abuse of Tilan earlier we can't quite accept him as this loving husband to Tilan now?

And on a side note, FJM must be one of the most unlucky groom that I have come across. In his first marriage, the bride killed herself. The second, he didn't even get to kiss bride before he was poisoned. I wish they at least had one night together. Can't they give the guy a break?

He didn't know.. His only clue that HS was the girl that FJM loved was when HS's identity was revealed, she was wearing the thumb ring that FJM gave to HS. He knew that ring was important to FJM because I asked to have it from FJM when they were kids and FJM said he can give Xu anything except that ring because it came from his father. That's why FJM made HS wear it on her neck that day so Xu would know FS was the girl he loved.

I agree. I cant make up my mind if Shifu is just really cautious or really stupid. And on a side note, if that hug between Shifu and Haishi in the Trailer of episode 31 is another dream, I will probably kill myself. Ha ha ha!

Thank you! I wonder how will they handle this in the drama. Because in the drama, it looks like Tilan has feelings for the Emperor. What those feelings are exactly is unclear at this point. I don't know if its pity, anger, love or guilt?

I am just curious, in the book how did Zizan die exactly? And is Tilan going to end up working with the bad guys or is her loyalty with the Emperor?

I agree. I have such a headache with the narrative of this drama. So much attention was put into characters and storylines that was just a waste of time as a filler in the middle. The parts where it should have been clearer and explained properly is skipped over. These last episodes feel so rushed. I don't know how can they resolve the ending of this story when we are so near episode 40 already. Its a disaster.

My feelings exactly. 17-20 was a waste of airtime. Good thing ep 23-24 kicked in to save the week but how I wish it didn't end soo abruptly in ep 24. It's looking like next week will be a better week. Just a side note - LQ should be given a "Husband of the Year Award" for this week's episode/s. His been unfailingly faithful, mature and good natured. And can I give a shout out to JB Grandmother in ep 24? Such a smart woman. No wonder JB is so smart.

The review was brutal but she did have some valid point. The head pieces and the wood working stuff really don't match but at the end of the day, who cares? She looks good with it. I watch dramas to be entertained. If I wanted the real deal, I would watch a documentary not a drama.

I think I will just skip the majority of these episodes and watch only the parts with JB and LQ in it. Episode 23 looks promising, I hope by then, they have past all these crazy stuff.

Actually, the guy that they introduced to us in the first few episodes feels like a totally different character from the pathetic dude we are watching in the recent episodes. The one we first met seems to be quite normal. Willing to be friends with both LQ and JB regardless of their status. The one we have to watch now is delusional. I don't know if his in love with JB or the idea of love. He can even say that they had a real relationship with JB. Can someone please rewrite and improve his character in the next episodes?

From the different trailers it looks like a lot more arrows will come flying his way. We understand for the narrative his needs to be hurt but does it have to be an arrow every time? JB should create an armor or a shield for LQ not a cannon.

I totally agree but really wish Ms Gao can be married off very, very soon. So tired of watching her. The actress playing her is doing a really good job.
