Honestly I only finished the drama because of the cute love scenes between YWY and QS. I think the FML was young and inexperienced when she was cast in the drama because the acting was subpar. But for me the plot was confusing. They added all these characters and attempted to make it a fantasy drama as well but it only hindered the story line and made it way more confusing.

Also something I found frustrating was that almsot everyone knew what had happened. The grand empress, the princes, princesses, maids. They knew and I understand why they had to lie but at the same time they had to have realized that at some point in time she would find out. Imagine realizing everyone has known what happened to you for months..years and they've allowed you to write letters home knowing that it was destroyed by their country.

Am I the only one who wanted her to just stay with her family, her grandfather's tribe, her people. She was happy. I wanted to ship her with one of the male leads but I couldn't. Both claimed that they loved her yet they both destroyed her life. The only one that I can say made amends for knowing anything was the general and he knew her pain and stayed by her side as best as he could. I cried so many tears during this show!

She is extremely strong to not only go through all of this but to not hide from the world. Although a lot of directors have decided not to associate themselves with her anymore and are removing her scenes from their dramas. I find it ironic that her international fan base is more forgiving than her own country. She's apologized, several celebrities have been convicted of worse crimes and have thrived. We need to be careful (god forbid) she harms herself the guilt that those who are bullying her would feel and it would be a waste of talent that would be lost to the world.

Apparently BingBing is back and acting already, however, the owners of this drama are going to spend millions to remove all of her scenes essentially having to remake the drama

Honestly if you're looking for a strong female lead like in Story of Ynaxi palace or Princess weiyong or tons of other drama this is not the drama for you. The FL starts out young and naive always getting herself into trouble and misunderstandings causing the two male leads to find ways to save her. She ends up severely punished and imprisoned for causing the death of her best friend. Even after all of that the only thing she realizes is that she needs to be cautious, she doesn't defend herself or get revenge on those who caused her friends' death she tries to live a quiet life but the villains want to get rid of her. The ML doesnt help either. He forces her into marriage and then accused her of sleeping with the man she was in love with...basically saying she wasn't a virgin because she didn't bleed on their wedding night. He, along with his first wife and his mother constantly abuse her especially the females when the ML I away they beat her physically.... You would think after all of this she would fight to protect her son but she ends up committing suicide. If you want to cry this is the drama for you!

I'm only on episode 10 and I've already counted 10 people who acted in story of yanxi palace, this drama is going to be gooooddd
