I don't try to find deeper meaning in dramas. I watch all kind of stupid shows but once in a while some shows gives eerie feeling despite its cheerful presentation, this is one of them.

I watched lots of age difference shows/movies, like you said this one definitely creepy. She is immature and subtle power harassment plotline in the background.
Even at the end she never told her coworkers about their relationship, to me she never was comfortable in her relationship.
Her dream to get full time job so he was indirectly using that as weakness since he had authority/power to do that, maybe she is getting along to get the job. Remember her co-workers always encourage to be his "Mrs" since the first meeting so she can get a full time job.
Also very little info about "sunbae" life look outside of his job , his character seems very fake compared to side characters.
I watched the "sunbae" actor" Lee Joon Hyuk" in other dramas, he is really good actor writers are the one messed up here.
They should removed the romance and goes with the mentor style story.

They should pushed that crippled asshole out of the building with his wheelchair or hand over to police for kidnaping, involuntary imprisonment, manipulation , identify theft, emotional damage over 10 years.
Really feels bad for the kid and mom, especially the kid, they both developed stockholm syndrome and she thanks that kidnapper for rising her son and feeding them ( she worked multiple jobs for the money and took care of him btw).
When the son washes the kidnapper feet after mom left i almost threw the remote at the TV, whomever puts the angel music for kidnapper should get fired.
People sympathizing with the kidnapper y’all need some real help.
People are going to prison for smallest mistakes, and imprison someone over 10 year shouldn't be glossed over.

but FL choose ML because of his looks and all of her ancestors are same (ugly female, beautiful male, no ugly male in her family), looks like drama message is "be a hypocrite".
People seems to hate ML because he like beautiful people but FL like ML because of his beauty but no one seems to hate her.

Like FL mother said "FL ran out of people to date" and FL lead know that her ex will cheat again so she settled down with the safest and last choice.
If ML never planned to leave her, She would continue the cycle until the end of time.

Not sure it's the acting or characterization but FL seems awfully cheerful for someone who got gangraped and being under mafia leash entire drama, her fake cries are worst.
I had sympathy for the FL until she start stealing from ML(he helped her numerous times before) house and try steal SFL boyfriend.

in manga, FL and yamato spend 99% time, FL ends up Izumi at few panels so i guess she ends up with him at the last 5min in the drama.
