I’ve found myself taking a step back from dramas at times too. Not so much because I’ve watched too many in a short period of time, but because I need a break from all the…well, drama 🤣 So I stop watching, let my brain breathe, and then happily dive back in!

Sounds like you’re a lot like me! That’s why I always share those sorts of spoilers at the end of all my reviews - because those really are the very things I wish I could know about every show before starting them! 🤪 I’m slowly trying to get reviews added for all the shows I’ve watched but I’ve still got a ton to do. So if you have questions about a show that I don’t have a review posted for yet, feel free to ask me! If I’ve watched it, I’ll gladly tell you what I know about spoilers regarding those things 😉

Oh, and I’m also in total agreement with you on the whole push and pull trope being such a drag. I always want to jump into the screen and start shaking sense into the characters, haha. I get that it adds tension, angst, and drama to the show but I could definitely do without the Leads engaging in it for most of the episodes 🤪

Same for me - while I prefer my dramas to have tasteful skinship scenes, if the chemistry is good enough between the Leads then I can still fully enjoy a drama that has no kisses 💋.
“Meet Yourself” is such a good drama!! If you enjoyed that one then there’s a good chance you’ll enjoy this drama as well 😁 And if you do end up watching it, I’d love for you to come back and tell me what you thought of it!

It’s still a really beautiful drama, but if you need/want your romance to come with kisses then this may not interest you. Honestly, though, I always prefer the couples to flirt, hold hands, hug, kiss, etc. just like real life couples do but I still enjoyed this drama. They have such a healthy relationship and are so sweet together that their lack of skinship didn’t really alter my enjoyment much. 💕

Hahaha, right?!? Giving us viewers at least ONE kiss would’ve been great! But it’s still a really nice drama despite the lack of any skinship 😉

She was definitely a really strong character! She was really genuine too, which is always pleasing to watch. Not all self-righteous or thinking she’s smarter than everyone else. She worked well with her team & contributed a LOT to their investigations. Definitely the type you’d want on your side 🤗

I understand how Chinese dramas take more of a time commitment since they have so many more episodes. If you’re ever able to start watching them, though, you’ll find some truly great dramas :)

I agree - definitely don’t go into this expecting a serious drama. (‘Cause you’re right - who pays a lawyer fee with potatoes?! Haha!!) And yeah, the eggs thing. That all made her character such an inconsistency - she’s so tough, like you said, but yet she can’t defend herself in that moment? Didn’t make sense to me.

I also think the ML defending her is normal. And admirable. I’d be disappointed in him if he hadn’t stood up for her! I’m not a fan of ML’s who allow their significant other to be bullied in whatever way without doing anything to help her, whether she “needs” his help or not. <3
