Binged this one coz well the pairing is kinda new and nice. To be honest cha wu seok is more obsessed with han seol ah than anybody on the show, he's always around her, he literally watches her moves from an apartment opposite hers, he is always roaming around at royal auction when he isn't even a detective, he is a insurance investigator. But let's ignore all that because we just want chemistry, a good whodunnit! park min young is gorgeous. right now every one looks creepy on a certain level after 6 eps her close friend, herself, that guy who gave her the stiller painting, everyone is just outright creepy! it’s a good watch and my take on this is I seriously suspect all of them around her are after the payout that Han seol ah received after her parents death! I can’t wait for more eps!
you’re right maybe this is coming from the whole birthrate being low in Korea and maybe this is their way of promoting more people in to having babies. very wrong way of portraying this though. if you have seen recently many dramas are ending with the couple having children. but yeah I get ur point and it’s absolutely valid. many people are in this only for the romance and lose their logic when seeing these dramas so many like this type of drama.
rewinding…watching ahn bo hyun shirtless at least 100 times!!! it’s a good paced rom com and it makes me smile every episode i watch! the kind that makes you forget logic and genuinely enjoy the drama. hopefully it keeps its good pace!
Is it just me, or is this drama agonizingly painful to watch? It honestly feels like propaganda pushing marriage and babies. I don’t see any real chemistry between the leads—though the male lead is undeniably charming. The episodes are overly long and drag a lot. Overall, it feels bland, and let’s be honest, that kiss was not dynamite at all. Even considering the male lead’s perspective, the whole “damsel in distress saved by the hero” trope feels outdated and boring now. Rating: no more than 5/10.
Can anyone tell me why song joong ki made a special appearance on this one? Does that signify that we may have a part 2 with a Korean male lead and Japanese female lead? thoughts anyone?
Watched the first two episodes and personally, I still prefer the Korean version. Both adaptations have their strengths, but Gwenchana’s character doesn’t quite resonate in this one, even though he was well-written originally. With just two episodes out, the drama already shows a few plot holes. Despite the slow-paced second half, the Korean version felt more cohesive. That said, it's always exciting to see a drama being adapted, and with Takeru Satoh as the male lead - it’s still worth keeping an eye on.
