I agree with you about his acting in YWCFS. I started watching with high hopes for him since I previously saw him in Dream High but was a little disappointed. I feel that the reason why is because of his character's personality. His character is somewhat stoic and many great actors and actresses are often labeled as bad actors because they don't show enough emotion, even though that's just how the character is written. His character was a bit boring but like the previous comments have said, he does have the potential to play more dynamic characters, such as in Dream High. Of course, I am in no way attacking you, just stating some thoughts.

I think she saved a country in her previous life or something. Jang Geun Suk, Jung Yong Hwa, Lee Hong Ki, Yoon Shi Yoon, Lee Min Ho, Kim Woo Bin, and now Lee Jong Suk. It's like every K-drama fangirl's dream! I hope she gets some more variety in her roles though. Her acting isn't bad, but her characters are usually very similar and it's getting old. :/ Maybe Pinocchio will let her portray a new type of character?

I'm actually pretty excited. c: Korean dramas are finally getting some recognition from the west. ABC's shows tend to be pretty good so I'm a more at ease with this production since we have professionals working on it. But I'm a little wary about the multi-season formatting... The story isn't long enough to last for more than one season without dragging or inserting useless drama. I'll give it a chance though. Hopefully they can give a well executed western spin on this beloved drama.

I really miss seeing him on screen. Does anyone know what he's up to these days? I think he might have been working on an album with his band, but I'm not sure. There isn't much news about him nowadays. :(

He is such a talented actor! His emotions were shown so well in Bridal Mask and I'm in awe watching him play a character with a mental illness in Good Doctor. Kang To and Shi On are two very different characters, but he portrays both of them brilliantly. He's growing on me a lot. I'm looking forward to seeing him in the new Nodame Cantabile remake. :)

I think I'm going to drop this drama. I really liked the first few episodes but I've lost my patience with the dragging plot that doesn't seem to be going anywhere and the bad writing. Pretty disappointed. I don't mean any offense to those of you who are enjoying the drama though.

I think the word you're looking for is "woman beater" or something along those lines. There weren't any reports about him molesting her, only assault. (Unless there is...? Correct me if I'm wrong.)

I know dramas aren't supposed to be realistic but did anyone else notice how weird it is that she's able to walk perfectly when she's had a tail her whole life? IN FIVE INCH HEELS TOO?

You should definitely watch it, it's a really great drama. Lots of humor and hilarity but also lots of nostalgia and heartfelt moments. But like R1N7B said, the writers will drive you crazy over who she ends up with. I won't spoil it for you since it would ruin all the anticipation when you find out in the end. You should also try Reply 1997 too, since Reply 1994 was a sequel spin off of it.

And as for the main lead for this drama, I'm guessing it's going to be Hyun Mung. He has way more screen time and it's pretty predictable. Whenever there is this kind of plot, the girl usually doesn't end up with the guy she liked first. But nothing is set in stone, so who knows, maybe the chef is the main lead. You'll have to keep watching to find out. :)

Anyone else notice how much these characters drink? I'm not trying to be a buzzkill saying that they can't drink EVER, but drinking in almost every episode is a little excessive...

Something just occurred to me: Did Gun and Mi Young ever officially divorce before she left for France? I don't remember them signing any papers...

You're allowed to have an opinion about an actor and his acting but there is no need to be rude and hateful about it. His appearance and his singing and dancing capabilities have nothing to do with his acting. Your comment doesn't criticize his acting but attacks him as a person. And c'mon, acne scars? Really? We've all gone through that as teenagers. That's rather insensitive and cruel of you to make fun of.

@chichichi No, Min Suk's grandfather (Min Suk always called him halbae). Jin Woo isn't exactly cheerful or mischievous lol.

@rainecat YES, amnesia and noble idiocy are the WORST to watch, I hate them too. I guess you can skip through 11 and 12 then, since it's pretty much just two episodes of those two drama tropes. But I think the next few episodes are good to go since all of that drama ended when she left for France. I don't think there will be any more of those two tropes for the rest of the drama (At least I really hope not. Once was already bad enough.) I suggest giving the next few episodes a chance before completely dropping it.

@docnty Yeah, I was upset about the time skip too since that probably meant that she started dating Daniel in that time. I like him and all but I like Gun and Mi Young together more. I can already see all the impending drama that's going to happen, ugh. But I guess it wouldn't be a drama without drama.

Yeah, it doesn't! Sure, he wants to make money for his daughters and the job he has takes up a lot of his time but what was the point of leaving home? It did absolutely nothing but made him homeless and made his daughters worry for him and fend for themselves. I guess they had to get him out of the house though so they would have room for Joon Hyun to stay and to develop his relationship with Chun Hee.

I feel the same way. It started out pretty good but just started to spiral downward for me with all the cliches and frustration it's causing me. Misunderstandings, lack of communication, and also the villains. I understand that Soo In and her mother are supposed to be there for the sake of conflict but I'm just tired of watching them do the same thing over and over again. All they do is manipulate people and use underhanded attacks against Chun Hee. It's become repetitive and annoying.

Amnesia, noble idiocy, miscarriage and divorce in just TWO episodes. It only took two episodes to destroy ten episodes worth of development. The miscarriage scene was the worst to watch, especially when they showed Mi Young's drawing of the baby with angel wings. My heart just broke into a million pieces. :'( The airport scene too, he JUST missed her by a SECOND. GAH. D:< But hopefully these two can have a fresh start after three years. (Probably not anytime soon if this drama has its way.)

Halbae~ T.T I cried my eyes out after he died. He was one of my favorite characters and always brought a smile to my face with his cheerful persona and mischievous antics. But I guess his death was the only thing that could stop Hyung Suk from carrying out his revenge plan. *sigh* I also agree with everyone below about the episode extension. They could've ended things nicely with these 16 episodes but no, now we have misunderstandings because of lack of communication. -.- These next two episodes really aren't necessary.
