She's a very strong woman, and I think a big part of her hesitation comes from the guilt she's carrying over his situation. She's not stupid—she knows very well how much he's into her. The man was literally standing there blocking the sunlight so it wouldn't bother her while she was sleeping. That's how I read it, anyway.
