also i have found there is an online free website (freesubtitles.ai) which only use medium instead of large v2 which means less accurate with more errors on subtitle which i don't prefer. it's also 1 hour limit for free.. there is a paid subscription service there as well. you just need to upload video( i extract audio or convert to audio which means low size file to upload because in free tier mode of that website, 300m only) . for extracting from mkv (which i convert all my files with "mkvtoolnix", i use free app called "Inviska MKV Extract" which you can easily do for separate video or audio & subs of any mkv file)
