It may be sad that LY thinks she would fight with him on this one but she refused to and pushes him away. However, NN said she will fight with him about her mum’s decision against them, not about his family’s decision against them. It is a man’s job to shelter the woman and protect her from his family - not the other way around. This was when she realised how her mum was right about LY’s inability to protect her from his family. This episode depicts her maturity in this sense.

Yeah, I agree. That’s one thing I don’t like about this version. They painted him as someone really corrupted while in the novel the actions behind his character are very reasonable and so the audience like me feel for him more as he has so many layers. In this drama, he’s nothing but a pretty face… such a shame

I actually like his character. He doesn’t need to blink an eye to be “cruel to be kind” kinda baddass like HFX and BFX. He’s no saint, yeh - but all his ambitions and motives so far do outweighs for the greater goods compared to their current crisis. He does sound pretentious but he’s actually full of testosterones, honourable and sincere. His character shown many times that he do care genuinely and wholeheartedly like a great hero would. HFX, BFX and HC are all strong in their righteousness manner who uphold justice above all other duties. It’s a very admirable trait.
I’m just worry how easily he’s being manipulated by YWY. I also wonder if those ministers he killed are really evil traitors like he thought they are or are they just conspiracy manipulated/planted by YWY… knowing HC character so far… he will find out about YWY’s hardiness soon and will act justifiably and accordingly.

Thanks for this spoiler theory! I haven’t even though of it…. No wonder in later episodes his hair is white!! It’s coz he used all his inner force and flower on BFX to save her life. His martial arts will still be retained but not as powerful as before since after this, he has no inner forces (to enhance his martial art skills).
