I had the same feeling. I've watched other dramas since VOS ended, but I haven't found anything as grand as it.…
I also fell completely in love and became obsessed with Ji Ling and Lu Wuyi. The chemistry between them was very special and memorable. I also gave it a 10 here, but unfortunately final scores for Chinese dramas usually don't go above 9.0. I think only Pursuit of Jade has ever achieved that score. I quite liked this drama too, but for me, Veil of Shadows remains better in terms of romance, chemistry between the protagonists, special effects and costumes. The plot was quite complex; I felt that the JiLu couple didn't deserve to suffer. The ending was a little bittersweet, but in any case, it was a perfect drama. I really loved it πβ€οΈ

It was definitely very unfair. These haters are ridiculous. The highest rating this drama ever had here was 8.6, the next day it dropped to 8.5 and on the third day it plummeted to 8.1 very quickly. It was a mass attack from the haters. This drama easily deserved a 9.0. For me VOS is the best of the year π
Guys, what did you do after finishing this?π« Have you started watching anything else yet? I honestly canβt…
I had the same feeling. I've watched other dramas since VOS ended, but I haven't found anything as grand as it. The impact this drama had left me with a deep sense of emptiness. I still haven't gotten over it, and I don't know if I ever will. Tian Jiarui is about to debut in The Legend of Rosy Clouds, but I still haven't gotten over Ji Ling πππ
I had high expectations for this premiere after so much waiting and I even thought it wouldn't be released anymore, but after watching 4 episodes, it hasn't surprised me yet and I can't say I'm completely enchanted. Actually, I'm not a big fan of modern dramas but I started watching mainly because of Tan Jianci, however I found his character a bit caricatured. His interactions with Wang Churan aren't very natural and I think they're developing too quickly. I saw many comments saying the drama was very funny but so far I haven't really laughed. Honestly, I've seen much funnier dramas. The beginning was kind of lukewarm, but I'll keep watching and I think they'll develop chemistry later. Regarding the plot, so far I'd give it a 6. I hope it improves.
This drama started out great with a fantastic cast and excellent fight scenes, but as the episodes progressed, it became dragged out and boring. I love wuxia dramas, I don't mind when there's no romance as long as the drama is good, but unfortunately the plot didn't captivate me and I hate abandoning dramas unless the plot is unbearable to watch but I struggled to get to episode 21. Even The Immortal Ancension which also had a slower pace at times was more interesting.
Guys, I'm lost. In that episode where Ji Ling goes with Shiguang to save Lu Wuyi and Wangyan from the Formeless Moon Sect, Ji Ling wanted to ally with Jiu Ying with the plan of killing Wangyan in front of Shiguang so that he would awaken hatred and Jiu Ying could possess his body, right? Jiu Ying asked what he wanted in return and Ji Ling said he wanted to continue being the Dragon God. So he actually killed Wangyan and managed to continue being the Dragon God, but with the intention of sacrificing himself by sending rain to end the drought in Luo'an? Ji Ling become the true Dragon God now?
I would like to ask any wangduo fans here.. Why wangduo always take a guest actor or second lead in few drama?…
Wang Duo is truly an excellent and very intelligent actor, but taking on the role of a protagonist is very exhausting, consuming a lot of energy and time. Lead actors always have more lines to memorize and many scenes to film. Perhaps he wants more free time for other activities in his personal life and, therefore, only seeks supporting roles or special appearances. Or perhaps he simply hasn't yet had the opportunity to be a protagonist. If that's the case, it's truly unfair because he's incredible, especially playing villains.
The main reason I'm going to watch VOS is Tian Jiarui & Ju Jingyi. This is the premiere I've been most looking forward to seeing in 2026. Since the beginning of filming, I've been obsessed with this couple and I'm sure the chemistry between them will be explosive. If anyone still underestimates Tian Jiarui because he's a rookie actor, they'll certainly be surprised by his performance in this drama. Since his debut in My Journey to You, followed by Fangs of Fortune, I've always believed Jiarui had enormous potential to be a leading man. Finally his time to shine has come ππ»π
Ever since I first saw Wang Duo in the 2018 drama Bloody Romance, I felt he deserved a leading role. His acting is incredible; He's very expressive, has a magnificent voice and a beautiful smile. Although most of his roles are as villains, I've never been able to hate him because even his villains are perfect. He's been in dozens of excellent dramas and films alongside great actors but even with a few small roles, he's excelled in several of his work. I really hope he becomes more popular, as he's one of my favorite actors β€οΈ
