As expected, your reply is just as embarrassing as your original comments. The character is a young teenager who has been shamed for simply enjoying fictional stories about boys’ love. As a teenager, he’s obviously uncomfortable expressing himself because of his past experiences, so while his actions may seem dramatic, they’re completely understandable from his point of view. He’s not disabled; he’s a young teenage boy trying to figure out his sexuality. Also, why are you self-inserting and expecting Suzuki to enjoy a kiss that he didn’t even expect? He’s obviously very shy and confused, and just because you think he should enjoy a kiss doesn’t mean that he will.
You’re doing exactly what you’re accusing others of doing: treating gay characters like toys that should act the way you think they should. I’d hate to imagine how you treat people in real life if you expect them to behave or be a certain way simply because that’s what you want from them.

The fact that you’re implying people are homophobic simply because they think the show is adorable is incredibly close-minded. You’re the only one insisting that gay men should be portrayed the way you think they should be portrayed. First, not everyone is the same, and secondly, this is a fictional character.
Why do other romance dramas get to have this type of trope without receiving the same kind of hate? Why can’t a gay character act this way without people criticizing them for not being the “correct” version of gay?
