Just because someone negates your comments doesn’t mean their angry. I could be saying the same thing to you. That you took my response to you as personally but I won’t cause I don’t know you. When I was in college we’d have discussions and debates no one thought the other person was angry or it was deep rooted personal thing. It was just a discussion. It’s the theme I’ve seen here on my drama list that as soon as someone has a differing opinion they are angry or it’s a personal attack. It’s not.

I was giving perspectives. I don’t see the need to attack anyone on social media. Doesn’t get anywhere. But thank you for the dialogue and discussion. It lead to each of us seeing each other’s points. I have a different perspective and seems you doo too. I hope you have a great day.

Like I stated earlier. Trials two significant events are being looked at. Why does the BLM movement have to have the same outcome as the Hong Kong? Two different countries and cultures.

Also what does trump's opinion on a group have to do with anything. He is ignorant and I frankly believe a person who cuts resources for a pandemic probs won't have the capacity to understand why the BLM movement is so significant. It's not for you or to trump but to many more, and that's what matters. Also the fact that more officials of differing backgrounds are being elected is change in itself. Also idk why BLM would affect the trade of the US, not the point. Also many people who don't believe racism is a thing and the BLM proves it is with video evidence.

You keep saying violence. Like I said let's not paint a whole group as violent. Individuals make a group and I'm sure you wouldn't want someone painting you or any cause you stand for as violence based on a group of people.

Also Fairfax County, Virginia, an officer was charged with three counts of assault and battery after using a stun gun on a peaceful black protester and a the officers who pushed over a peaceful 75 year old man protesting was also charged. Events that would've been overlooked.

The movement has not ended still on-going so just continue to watch and maybe you'll see that one outcome you keep trying to focus on.

Yeah mockery is a form of ignorance. You're telling me the writers researched Rastas and said hmmm they accept with people now and their beliefs were pretty bizarre before let's make a character about this. It would be different if his character unpacked the problem of the rasta, it didn't it was simply a gimmick. Just like when white people play Asian people/Black people it's a gimmick/mockery. Yeah of course they don't live my life. We live in different cultures. But when people make a movies/shows, they do research. You can't say they don't know anything, let's give them more credit than that. I don't hold people who do not know accountable, but we can't say all the watchers or makers don't know. I feel like people are pretty intelligent and understand the references.
I see you like this show and want people to watch it. I hope people do watch it and form their own opinion. My opinion or anyone's should never be their starting point. Just like the news or reporting on BLM should never be anyone's starting point. Watch the show and form your opinion. March and form your own opinion/read people who marched videos and form your own opinion.

No a lot of people who have started these protests now and in the past have sat down with governors. That would not have happened if not for the BLM protests. I don't know what's vague about black people having equality. We've asked for a fare trial for the black man who jogged and we are getting one. We asked for further investigation for the man who was kneeled on and it's in the works. I am not going to sit here and speak on Hong Kong issue cause frankly I'm not them. I have not had a chance to speak to someone there. It's really easy to say you all should do this when you are not being affected directly. I'm sure people back in the past thought the same thing, that the marches were vague. That it wouldn't amount to anything. It's a beautiful thing when it does, even the smallest thing.

Yeah some people are exhausted cause that's all they've been doing all their lives...educating people. I could list the reasons why and I could say xyz but will you see my point. Also, were you there protesting so how do you know it was BLM only? A narrative people who are removed from the issue like to take. There have been many statements from people who have actually gone to the protests who have stated other people initiated the riots. There have been many peaceful protests. I've been to numerous.

Marching for anyone to ride a bus changed things. Marching for anyone to have a higher education changed things. It was never quick or in that instance but it changed later.

The fact that you just referenced BLM and and called it insignificant speaks for itself. You have a lot of unpacking to do with yourself and why a movement threatens you so much. It might not make a difference today or tomorrow but it sure will later in the future. Just like how people protested in the past, did not make a difference right then but much later laws were changed. I for one did not bombard the comment Mathew did.
