Although I must admit that there are some questionable characters in BR, I really do not understand where the…
Yet again another comment saying Korean vs West. Never said that. Your comment in itself is a great example of jumping to conclusions, at least I saw the drama and critiqued it. You read my statement and concluded I have an old-fashioned, imperialistic way of thinking. I applaud you for your generalized and close-mindedness.
Here comes an ignorant person who doesn't care to unpack the glaring problems in this drama. Also, that statement…
When in my statement did I say the drama was trash or discredit it as a whole. It was a cretic about the drama, which anyone is aloud to do. When did I say that the people did not work hard on this drama? Please don't delude yourself and make things up. Just because other people have voiced their concerns doesn't mean you can lump people together.
People trying to excuse blatant ignorant actions is why these producers think it's okay to produce e garbage like this. I saw someone comment on how she was trying to disguise herself as someone from another region. Like your are reaching. She could've done anything else but paint her skin darker put on that horrible wig. Also please don't tell me you did not see their reaction to her darker vs her lighter. Blatant ignorance and prejudice in this show that perpetuates the divide in skin color. I just can't understand why people can't like foreign films but also criticism them when they do dumb ish like this.
Call me crazy but I really did not care for Prince Yi Rim and Hae -Ryung's relationship. Lowkey felt like the writers and directors were trying to force a relationship. I saw no chemistry. Felt like the emotions needed to be implied by dramatic/sad music. On the other hand, I liked Hae-Ryung with U-won. She brought a softer side to him and their progression flowed great. The show was a 7/10 for me. It was pretty cliche in some parts and I am really getting tired of coincidental meetings that bloom into relationships. I know it's drama for a reason but they could've made this way more interesting.
I know there are differing cultures, but rape is rape. I will never understand how they let the rapist go free like they robbed a candy store. People are influenced by the media (these dramas), and to promote that culture of "yeah he raped her but he's her father or he almost killed his wife but hey he's the husband", is beyond me.
Lead female was stupid, her mom was a bigger idiot (like what was the reason to continue staying in that house). The lead male was the only one who really had any growth. Fake father was trash idk what it is in their tradition with protecting trash even if it's related to you. Trash will be trash. I tried hard not to skip but towards the last few episodes, I was on my last string of what the FUQ man!
They used to release them publicly but people kept stealing their subs so that's why they do it they way they do. Frankly it's not that deep. You don't even need to pay a lot to watch their subs. IDK why people complain. They take time out of their day to sub 60 minute to 1 1/2 episodes. That takes time.
Like I said reminds of someone...
Also, that statement reminds me of someone...
