is the second song not showing up for anyone else when they open the app?
Did the video clips from the next episodes make it look like Immortal Li is about to be killed by the Heavenly Emperor to anyone else? I'm going to be really sad if that does happen because I loved Xiangyun's dynamic with him and I was hoping the show would subvert expectations by NOT making the Heavenly Emperor evil lol
The reason I hate SML mainly is that he is such a fake bff to CK. Not because of him trying to win FL.
I'm pretty sure he never really considered CK a friend at all. It's really suspicious that their 'friendship' started right after CK lost his memories.
So SML doesn't have such a big role in the novel? I'm thinking of all the past xianxias where we have the third…
I think the fact that he was immediately so evil in their first life is making it hard to empathize at all. With other third wheel characters we usually have a bit of time where they're being normal where we can kind of start to like them, but within ten episodes of meeting him, we watched SML kill an entire family to get a girl. We haven't seen any of the build up of their relationship or why he cares so much, so he just seems more crazy and insane and irritating to us
Every time I’m watching this drama there’s this constant awe in the back of my mind about how pretty all their…
Also in this life Xuiming dresses so similarly to how Lu Chang Kong dressed in their last life. The style of the clothes and the high pony. He stole the story and the style haha
I also think that from now on the episodes are split so we see one life per week. I believe the third life will end in ep 19-20, so episodes 21-22 will show them in heaven afterward, and then ep 23 which is airing next week will send them on their fourth life (body swap!). If I'm right then the fourth life + heaven realm time afterward will be 6 episodes, the fifth life (probably the flashback) will be four episodes, and the sixth life (as demons) will be three episodes. And the last two episodes will be their final incarnation with hopefully an epilogue that's longer than LBFAD's was
I think this life will end in episodes 19-20 because the airing schedule has a heart above tomorrow's episodes, and we know from the previews the angst is also starting lol
I was listening to the lyrics and thinking the same thing! And there might also be another clue in the trailer…
I have seen it! and its convincing enough that I'm still thinking about it haha but I also feel like there's a chance it could be explained away? like the two versions of the bloody wedding are because the director just wanted to try it two different ways and liked the inside version better. and the 'final reincarnation' that isn't in the listed reincarnations is because it's not technically a reincarnation but is adapting the final novel life which is a bit different from the rest. I really want the theory to be true but I'm worried it's going to ruin my enjoyment of the ending if it isn't haha
I just realized how telling the opening OST is about the ultimate plot of this drama. I can't wait to see how…
I was listening to the lyrics and thinking the same thing! And there might also be another clue in the trailer that was released months ago. Basically there's a voiceover by DYX where he's saying the line where he's giving Xiangyun the hairpin as a dowry. But in the trailer, it definitely sounds like he's calling himself Lu Hai Kong (his original name for this incarnation in the novel) instead of Lu Chang Kong.
I remember watching the episode for the first time and wondering why they bothered to change his name. I get why they changed her name ( in the novel, her name was Song Yun Xiang) to reflect that she kept her memories and to make it easier for viewers. But it seems like such a small thing to change just one character in his name, esp when it seems like they weren't planning on changing it at all.
It could be that they were planning to keep the name the same but decided to change it later, but this seems like an odd thing to change? Especially when they'd already recorded some lines with the original name. But if the time loop theory is true, it could be that in one of the earlier loops his name in that incarnation was Lu Hai Kong.
That being said, I feel like I'm kind of leaning towards it being an error rather than intentional haha. I feel like I've never seen a twist in a chinese drama (especially xianxias) that wasn't foreshadowed to the point where it was very obvious way before the 'twist' happened. If the time loop theory is true, then it's had some genuinely subtle, incredible foreshadowing and if I get to into this theory I'm worried I'm going to be really disappointed when it doesn't happen 😅
