Wow you put it all so beautifully. Indeed Yuzhi had such a profound effect on Yuelou's life. The only reason he survived the loss was because Yuzhi put Keying in his care (and maybe Yuzhi knew that Yuelou needed that after his death). Even though the hole left by Yuzhi can never be filled, perhaps in that end scene where he is standing next to Keying he has realized that the love would never die so he keeps going.

oh wow that hit me right in the feels...for Yuelou dreams are just nightmares so he probably would like to shorten them T-T
