tbh I actually felt a bit bad for Junbai there in the screenwriter's ending. I would say I had a love-hate relationship with him. Like he is a hot tea-sipping mess that I hate one second, pity the next and then I am like why are you so handsome but so twisted... XD

@Li Man Man haha yeah Dr. Who would be a total no go indeed. There was a time when time travel and reincarnation plot was really famous in cdramas (thinking about that popular show where a girl time-travelled into the body of her princess look-alike in the past and there were 13 princes etc. )

I feel Junbai got a worse end based on the screenwriter's ending. I would recommend reading that one

Maybe the censorship is more relaxed nowadays (e.g., WOH). Or maybe some shows get more scrutiny but others don't due to various reasons.

ah sorry if I offended by saying that... It was just my observation based on the clips I watched. Story and acting is more important than anything, that's why I have been thinking about watching Guardian. I heard Guardian had a low budget so maybe that's the reason behind the production quality/CGI.

About Star wars original trilogy, I love it and that's because of the combination of the aesthetics, story and acting/chemistry. The new Star wars suffer in all those dimensions. Using only CGI is much cheaper but doesn't give a realistic feel. Combining good props/makeup/camera effects with CGI gives a more realistic feel but it is more expensive and time-consuming. Mandalorian did great job in that regard imo.
