They do it with all Chinese actors. Only a few are dubbed with their actual voices. It's because of all the dialects and language differences in China and that not everyone can understand each other. It's really annoying, but I can sort of understand why they do it. At least they don't refuse to cast actors from other areas.
Last time I checked, according to the Chinese Wikipedia page, November 13. Chinese dramas can take a long time between being produced and airing because the government has to approve every part of them.

I don't remember everything clearly, but there were actually three sides during this time: (1) the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), (2) the Guomindang (GMD)/Kuomintang (KMT) [same thing, just variant spellings], and (3) the Japanese. The CCP and GMD were both Chinese and opposed each other within the Chinese government and were undergoing a civil war before and during the time when drama takes place. The two decided to work together against the Japanese. There's a book called 'Red Star over China' that was published in 1937, written by a journalist named Edgar Snow, that goes over it in detail. I had to read it for a class. You can look up a brief summary of this time period in China to read if you want. It's pretty interesting.

Like MinaVIP said, chronologically it's Faith then Six Flying Dragons then Tree with Deep Roots. But you can watch any of them separately and understand them just fine.
