You’ve managed to put into words what I’ve been exactly feeling about this drama.
I can’t fault the acting, the writing, the music, the editing etc for the first 19 episodes, but the last 30 minutes just felt like a kick in the teeth. If the writers fleshed out So Yong’s character more throughout the story so that it felt like she just didn’t appear at the end this drama would have been a 9 or 9.5 for me.
A perfect 10 would have been a So Bong/Cheoljong ending (which like you, I accepted the story was never going to go down that road).
Oh well, So Bong and Cheoljong will forever live on in my mind.
