I just finished watching this and your review is dead on! I did, however, become a chicken right about the 14th episode. That one made me glad I watched in the daytime because it did have moments that will give a chicken like me nightmares. One of the main reasons I don't watch anything horror related.
Hate to say it but none of these look appealing 'to me'. I can't take anymore Korean romance dramas and that seems to be all there is. I'm a chicken when it comes to horror so, yeah, no zombies for me.
Have you seen the American series Leverage? If so and you liked that show then you'll love this.
I don't know what your taste in dramas are but I hope you'll like this. I liked this Korean version because I felt it was based off the American TV version.
I agree with you! The same character he played in Healer so he wouldn't be recognized as a person with mad fighting skills was done in this series with no fighting at all. When I saw that this had action in it I had to watch but I couldn't finish the first episode. It was ridiculously stupid! Wook shouldn't play roles like this. I understand why constantly getting injured in The K 2 made him stray away from doing anymore action series but please don't play roles like this. It's demeaning.
Wow...chill. It's just a show. if you're going to analyze every little thing that was wrong with this series then you shouldn't be watching anything because....it's....not...real. It's just for entertainment purposes only.
im so mad at myself for finishing this :( what am i suppose to do now. i hate when i get attached to a drama and…
Try Good Casting. Top notch female leads who can fight, along with comedy that will make tears come out of your eyes throughout each episode. It may not be to your taste but I got huge kick out of the series and I'm not a fan of female Korean actors. But the two actresses that can fight are now on my favorite Korean actor's list. If not, then Partners For Justice. It's a legal drama with two seasons, or Flower of Evil...I could go on and on but I'll give those two if you haven't seen them already.
Finally strong female leads who can fight off men and not break a nail! I hated the character who didn't have any field experience. This is the type of casting I hate with a passion!! Who in their right mind would prefer to be trashed talked to? Those segments irked my nerves.
The guy who played a spoiled rich star was even worse. They really could've edit those scenes out. I couldn't get past looking at how gross his lips looked....ick!!
Other than that I didn't think I was going to like this but the fighting scenes were what drew me in. This is the kind of action I like.
I'm now currently watching season 1 and is on episode 4 and will say it's an interesting watch. It's got that…
Yep, figured that. I just watched episode 4 and it was slower than the first 3. The only reason I'm watching this is because I've been obsessed with Korean action dramas since Rugal. Episode 5 looks like it has one of my new favorite Korean actors who played the main lead in Man To Man. Episode 4 had the main lead in Are You Human. The second season has the main character from Vegabond in it. These were great binge watchers for me. This series is very slow watch. I'll be watching as a filler cuz I hit a drought in the action category. A lot of Korean shows I've watched led me to binge watch. This most definitely isn't one of 'em.
I've only watched the first 2 episodes so far and I'm not gonna lie, they were pretty boring. Still, since most…
I'm now currently watching season 1 and is on episode 4 and will say it's an interesting watch. It's got that 'Escape The Room' type vibe. These episodes are over one hour and sometimes I get bored easily so there were times when I had to hit pause or stop watching. It most definitely isn't a binge watch for me.
My biggest peeve that I have about this series concerns the 'murders'. These detectives have not taken each murder seriously. I've never seen someone get murdered and have a group of people surrounding the victim and have a deep rooted conversation with each other and is joking and laughing throughout the whole ordeal. Are these murders for real or are they staged is what's leaving me scratching my head.
Kdrama rom-coms have always been too much lovey dovey... that's the reason why most people get hooked to kdrama…
Thanks for the Backstreet Rookie synopsis. I do like Kung Fu Hustle. Got it favored in my Netflix account.
I saw Signal. It was slow like Designated Survivor 60 days in my opinion. The Tunnel was better. I didn't care for both FL in both. The female in The Tunnel looked creepy while the female in Signal looked too Butch for my taste.
Both Sweet Home and Alice in Borderland may not be in my Netflix but I'll check.
Reminds me how men use to look in the 80's.
I think I'll pass on all of these.
I just got done watching episode 14 of Fiery Priest and the end had me choking from laughing so hard.
The guy who played a spoiled rich star was even worse. They really could've edit those scenes out. I couldn't get past looking at how gross his lips looked....ick!!

I'm one of the few in hoping for a second season.

I did check my Netflix and yes they're on there but it's not something that catches my eye.
When I'm done with 38 Task Force I'm going to have to find something else b/c I've been finding some pretty dismal Kdramas lately.
