Another cliche rom-com
OK...I haven't watched a Korean drama since Teach You A Lesson....I use to watch Kdramas every month but now my watch factor has greatly diminished. Why? Because every doggone drama got that cliche romance that I seriously despise.
The first episode already had me rolling my eyes. The second...couldn't get through it. The premise is stupid. MFL got electrical 'powers' stemming from getting hit by lightning when she was a kid and now everything she touches static electricity flows from her body. The main male has a weak heart and was in the process of getting a newer heart that don't need to be charged but an electrical storm kept that from happening. His doctor automatically came up with the idea of him needing to be around the MFL so she can charge his artificial heart....wirelessly....All of this thrown into one episode. You can't make this drab of a story up!
The MML finds out the MFL got writer's block when it comes to getting that perfect romance arc so he's going to use her. She got three months to come up with a good romance story and he's got three months until his next heart surgery so they both need something out of this three month deal in order for everything to work. The MFL acted like she wasn't down with that idea but we all know she's going to go along with it. Her whiny voice and wide eyed facial expression tells me so.
I know I only made it to a episode and a half but I know that sappy teenage romance is going to happen throughout every doggone episode. You also got that two men falling for one woman story line that I also hate.
I'm pretty sure in the end the MML is going to have a successful heart surgery. The MFL's best friend who's always had a crush on her is going to get duped because she's going to fall for the MML and they'll live happily ever after...The gag and eye roll is strong on this one.
Too bad I don't have anything else to watch that could get my hopes up on Netflix.
