back to the attention span comment, that’s just lazy reasoning. if i wanted to test my attention span i’d read a book, not watch tv. the issue isn’t people lacking focus, it’s that the drama (which i’m actually enjoying) has been dragging lately, and that’s fair to point out. if you’re gonna compare, at least pick something with a similar tone. romance of tiger and rose was 24 eps and didn’t drag, that would make way more sense. otherwise it just feels like you’re typing to type.

and anyway who’s talking about Yanxi palace or the other dramas you mentioned??? first those dramas are so different from this one. This is literally a drama about a girl stuck in a novel it really doesn’t need 40 episodes

lol it’s not about attention span idm 40 episodes it just seems the last few episodes have all been the same there hasn’t really been anything new it’s literally just her hating NH plotting to want to kill him and him getting upset she misunderstands him

I agree, I can’t see why this sort of drama is 40 episodes because it’s quite comical and doesn’t take itself too seriously, and I also don’t see a point in it having a strong political storyline (not sure if it will head that way). I think less episodes would have made more sense

yeah I get that, but I guess I feel like by now she should know because she’s seen some of the characters aren’t like they were in the script so I thought by ep 20 we wouldn’t still be in the same plot. The main thing keeping me going is from the clips I saw in the trailers when they do finally get together it seems she’ll be quite protective of him etc so at least there’s some balance.

while I’m enjoying this, I feel I’m watching the same episode over and over again. There’s not really been any new developments. The FL keeps misunderstanding the ML. I’m not saying she should be in love with him by now but I was hoping she still wouldn’t be using the same logic. It’s starting to drag a bit now honestly
