Its not a cliff hanger ending. The end shows that he was on a different drug mission and Kexin going to join him in 1 week time. All of them survive the explosion. Thats why all of the police officer including Kexin's brother attend the ceremony.

What do you mean by fake kisses? Like the ones where it’s kind of like a peck rather than a passionate kiss?
I think because the main actor has 'no kissing' clause in his contract, so the kisses are just angled to look like they are kissing or from a far? lol
