I can't believe it's already been a year... Oh my dear Binnie, I hope you're doing well, way better than you were doing on earth and I hope you're looking over everyone whom you love and those you love you... I love you so much, you know that? It hurts so much that I still can't believe you're really gone. I'm simply waiting on a new MV where I will see 6 faces I love and 6 voices I know by heart even though I know all I will see are 4 faces and 4 voices...
I'll never stop thinking of you, my love. Rest in peace<3
It depends on what type of drama it is tbh, if it's a Chinese wuxia/xianxia with around 45 min. episodes each, I could watch as many as possible if it's a quality show! However, if we're talking about a romance K-Drama with 1 hour and 20 minutes episodes, I would be happy it's ending at episode 16 lol
Is there any miscommunication or unnecessary breakup between them?
I can't recall any breakups, but there will be an ex-crush who will come back and make things complicated, but he's there for only like 2 episodes and doesn't become a big problem so it's all good!
I'm pretty sure that's it, that's exactly what I mean when I say it's a very peaceful and easy to watch drama😍
Yall I was watching episode 5 skipping it every 5 seconds because I was like wtf is actually going on AND THEN I REALIZED I SOMEHOW FORGOT TO WATCH EPISODE 4😭
I don't even know yall... I usually cry for quite literally anything and everything, but I couldn't even force the tears out here?? Like I lowkey didn't even want Ever 9 to come back because uncle is completely right, go date a goddamn human!!
My ranking of the 4 series would be: 1. You Are Mine 2. VIP Only/Stay By My Side 3. Stay By My Side/VIP Only 4. Anti Reset
"We gays?" I'm gay, and I don't need a story to perfectly mirror my experiences in order to enjoy it. I find comfort…
I do agree that it wasn't properly handled in the series, but it's definitely not a reason for all the bad comments and extremel low ratings for sure... And I have seen quite a few people (too many) say they rated it low because it's too negative for them... What the actual fuck?!
That's exactly the problem, it doubles the amount of guys for them to feast their eyes on, but the moment a ML isn't too good looking, they drop the series, just shows they watch only to fetishize and obsess over men instead of imersing themselves in the stories, and therefore miss the whole point of deep and sad queer stories.
As for the GL/BL dynamic, what's the most shocking to me is that the companies treat the women and girls like a thousand times worse than the watchers do. The constant pushing back of release dates for GLs, lack of promotion, no concerts, etc (looking at you, GMM) are concerning... Misogyny and sexism are sadly everywhere...
I really yearn for more diverse relationship dynamics! It's always pretty much the same... Like please give me my switch couples, throuples (any poly relationship really), masc-masc and fem-fem sapphic couples, gender queer people in relationships, and so on!!!
Well said. It is especially hard during the teenage years when you are undergoing both biological and emotional…
This is so well worded and true!
I am a teenager myself, growing up in the "better times" for queer people, but sometimes I wonder if the tales of those better times are what I'm really experiencing... Sure, people accept me as a person, but I can see them laugh at visibly trans people on the street, or complain about the recent same-sex marriage legalizations in Greece and Thailand, or some leaving the church after Pope Francis said something about giving blessings to same-sex couples, or the "That's so gay" you mentioned being used as an insult etc...
If it were truly better times, would I have to hide my identity from my family, would I be so terrified of religion because I am viewed as a satanic sinner because of love, would I cry myself to sleep every now and then thinking about all of my queer siblings worldwide who are now dead because people hate us, would I cry thinking about my future as I see more and more anti-LGBTQ+ bills and laws be introducted, would I have to erase my real self so I can be accepted and loved? If any of that sound like a good time to anyone, I would love to strongly disagree.

I never said it has to mirror real life experiences for me to enjoy it, that you can see if you take a look at my ratings for sweet and happy BLs. What I said is that it's exhausting to see only happiness and nothing else in literally 90% of BLs when it's nothing like that in reality. The cycle is never ending: I see it on screen, I'm happy, it ends, I return to reality, I realize that I haven't even come out to my own family because I know that not a single thing will go well, I'm sad for myself and all of my queer siblings in the world who are struggling every day just because of who we are.
There you go again with the "only depicting hardships", nobody said that.
You're right, fiction is called fiction because it's fake. But something being fake doesn't mean it should all be butterflies and rainbows. Everybody watches for their own reasons, and I understand that some people need an escape, but shitting on a series and automatically rating it with scores lower than 7 just because of a completely normal daily situation such as internalized homophobia is just insane to me. It's the main reason why I wish more dramas showed the "hardships" factor. People hating on a series for being a bit too real just shows they have had everything sugar coated for them.
As for straight cis women, oh boy could I talk for days about how disgusting some of them are. 1. Go on TikTok and go to any video of a boy that says "Just a boy who likes boys." and open the comments. All you will see is the mentioned "SCW" (straight cis women) thirsting over the boy, saying "Why are all the good ones always gay", "I can change him", "I can wear a strap-on for you", etc. 2. Many SCW who are BL fans are homophobic themselves. All of them consume gay media like it's water but most will go crazy if a boy they like is gay. Or let me take Thailand legalizing same-sex marriage as an example. You have no idea just how many comments I saw saying "I love it when it's fiction and in dramas, but it's a sin in real life!" or "I watch BL everyday so I'm happy, but why would women get married?" etc... It's disgusting how many SCW fetishize gay men and absolutely dispise anything sapphic or gender-queer related. 3. They make so many stereotypes and will not watch a drama or read a manga/manhwa if one main lead is not big, muscular, cold, tall, etc and the other small, petite, tsundere, etc... I could go on and on but that would be way too long of a comment. And just to make sure you don't misunderstand something again, I said "most", "some", and "many", not "all".
Hope you understood my point. I never said "all must be miserable", all I said was that I want more real life experiences in dramas. Thanks if you read all of that!
I have no idea what yall are on about, but this was amazing!!! Not being able to handle and understand internalized homophobia (because many of you are cis straight women obsessed with fetishizing gay men) is your own problem and it doesn't automatically make the show bad!
We gays love seeing our own problems in media, it gives a sense of a deeper connection to the characters and makes the story feel way more real. I am sick of so many BLs literally forgetting that being gay is one of the biggest taboos no matter where you are. Seeing all the happy ever afters makes one happy of course, but seeing those couples have all the support in the world, loving and accepting families and friends, no problems, so much confidence, etc just makes everything feel so fake and unrelatable... I wish we had more shows like this showing what it actually means to be gay in this society and not just sugarcoating everything like we're in a parallel universe...
I don't think so. He looks more like the korean version of lay. Just like someone else mentioned below. Ji ho…
Yesss, and it's an even bigger flex saying I've been Jiwoong's fan since 2021 because I watched The Sweet Blood right when it aired😍 He's actually the reason I watched Boys Planet in the first place, I had to support my man lol

The journey from loving you in Boys Planet to seeing you get P01 has been incredible<33
