I love my story. So basically I was in this phase where I wanted to watch all the Cinderella’s themed movies. You know, like the A Cinderella Story or Ever After (etc). However, I soon discovered a problem, I had watched all of the themed movies but I wanted more (for some odd reason, most of them weren’t even good movies). So I googled Cinderella-was going to google Cinderella themed movies, but one of googles autocomplete thingy was Cinderella and Four Knights. So I am, of course, excited for another movie except I saw that it was in another language. This was a big turnoff for me (for some reason) and left it alone. But I wasn’t able to find any other movies so I decided to give it a try, and i loved it. I got sooooo obsessed with Cinderella and Four Knights, looking back at it, it definitely wasn’t the best but still good lol. I also got into kpop because of it. I believe by Younha was the song that first caught my attention and one day I was like “I want to listen to more foreign language songs” annnndddd that’s how I got into kpop as well. I love my story, everything falls together so nicely. Even my BL story is pretty cool but that will make my post too long lmao.
Aaaahh I’m so excited! The trailer looks very interesting. I’m just confused as to when this takes place and what happened to their memory and stuff. I guess I will just have to wait.
My favorite of all the versions and my favorite Japanese drama. This is one of the only Japanese dramas that use the live action anime cliche well. It was hilarious and one of my all time favorites.
A couple of my opinion about... well, your opinions. 1. Omg, back hugs are literally my favorite cliche ever. It’s always so cute no matter who it’s with. -I’m a huge fan of rich man poor woman dramas. I think it’s because I like how a rich person can fall in love with someone whose poor. But I guess I can see what you’re talking about, it’s usually the man who is rich and the woman who is poor. And I have never heard of a drama where it’s the other way around, so I can definitely see why you don’t like this cliche. 2. I absolutely love gender benders. I honestly don’t know why, I guess its because it’s always hilarious and entertaining to see how the male lead acts. I know some people have problems with it because the woman never actually looks like a boy, but when you think about it... the story usually isn’t realistic itself, so why would it matter that the boy couldn’t easily find out that she is a woman? -One plot for a gender bender I thought was so funny was in Moonlight Drawn By Clouds where the female lead becomes an eunch. Just wtf lol. 3. Although I love gender benders... switching bodies is a hell no for me. I hate that idea which is why it took me forever to watch Secret Garden. There is this actor I love (and probably everyone else in the world) called Gong Yoo and he plays in a drama called Big. I love him so much, but I can’t get myself to watch it (maybe one day I will) because of the summary I read that he switches bodies. Body switching is a big no no for me. 4. I love Goblin and if people don’t like it, whatever it’s your opinion. But I honestly have no idea how someone can utterly despise it. The bromance is one of the best, the couple is cute, and how the goblin acts differently with the grim reaper and his lover is gold. I think a lot of people hate it because it was so big. People like to call a lot of famous dramas overrated. 5. As a huge fan of Boys Over Flowers, I will watch all of them and I am so down for any other version that will be released. I know that there are so many version, but for some reason they all make me want to watch more.
The first three or four episodes were extremely slow and I lost my interest. Thank God, I decided to continue it a couple days later. This drama was so freaking funny, Yoon Shi Yoon has played amazing characters in other dramas and I absolutely loved him in this one. Other than the beginning, another thing I didn’t like was the romance. It seemed as if it was very forced, like this drama needed a romance so they paired up Hyun Jae and Woo Seung. They seemed so much better as friends and I skipped the kiss scenes because I really couldn’t care less. Lastly, I thought they did a great job with the time travel. Most time travel dramas work well for the first five episodes and then they forget about it until the last episode were they don’t wrap things up well. I thought this one did a pretty good job wrapping up the time line and the story. I understand time travel in movies/shows so I wasn’t confused about anything. Except one thing, how did the 1994 Hyun Jae disappear? I know he died, but they obviously didn’t find his body so what happened to him? Not a big question, but I still want to know. There are a crap ton of dramas with a slow start, so the only thing I wish was different was the romance. Change the couple, or don’t have it in at all.
Definitely an overrated dramas, but not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I keep seeing a bunch of reviews the fashion and hair was cringey. A big middle finger to everyone who thinks that. I'm pretty sure all of the people who have said they absolutely hated this drama probably doesn't know that this is based on a manga. Their "horrible hair" is based of the manga, including most of the plot. (Probably, I never read it before). If you don't like it fine, but let it be because you didn't like the story, or thought that actors were bad.
How....? How? HOW is this sitting at 8.8?? This is one of the WORST dramas I have ever seen! 8.8 is .1 lower than…
Psst please. With most dramas, The actual plot is trash, but the romance story is awesome. And with a couple like Do Bong and Min Hyuk, it's enough for a good rating. But I do agree with the the story being crappy.
It was very weird, it took me awhile it get what was going on in some scenes. It felt like more a bromance than a bl, but oh well, it was entertaining.
I thought it was a great drama. The beginning was a bit slow but got better. I loved the bromance and all the flower boys and the plot wasnt so boring. Now for the bad, most historical dramas have a pain in the ass mom and this woman was no exception. Thought she was annoying and she looked way to young. I hated the female lead and thought that her romance was so forced and out of place, it would have been a better drama to just not have a romance. I would still recommend that you watch it though.
I loved it and thought it was really funny and entertaining. I think it was this show that had the hilarious product placement, but I’m not sure. I felt like some times it would randomly skip a scene, which was confusing. And the ending was garbage. Would still recommend as I loved the female lead.
I honestly love gender benders, so naturally I love this show. I used to Love it a lot but then I watched the Japanese version and found out that it was ten times better than the Korean version. One thing that disappointed me was the lack of the other boys interaction with each other. The Korean ver was more into the romance rather than the friendship, but I liked the friendships in Hana Kimi more than the relationship between the leads. I did love that they added a English speaking man into it, even though it was a bit cringey. I thought that was a good plus from the Japanese version.
I loved the concept and the actors. I saw the comments that said Kim Go Eun wasn’t a great actress, and I disagree. I believe she did great in her role, she gave her character a perfect personality for the show. As for Gong Yoo, well I love everything he does as he is my favorite Korean actor. My favorite thing in this drama was the bromance between the goblin and the grim reaper, their scenes made me laugh so hard. Their bromance is one of my favs in all the dramas I’ve watched. I also loved Sung Jae’s role, he was also hilarious and adorable. I found every character interesting and I didnt hate any of them (usually there is at least one character that I hate). The story line was interesting and didn’t make me bored. However I haven’t finished yet due to time and other dramas, so I can’t give it a huge plus. But definitely, check it out.
