I was as happy watching Feng Chang being so happy for his brother being named the Heir , receiving his future wife and at the wedding. Anyone else??? Such a wonderful brother even after so much suffering.

Agreed. There were lots of complaints about the FL character, but after people explained that a lot was left out from the original novel, it made more sense. She was very traumatized which left her very doubtful if she could fully trust a man and if she could really love well. She could have turned out to be a really tragic character, but with the steadfast love of SY and the support of her friend, they overcame it all. I was very moved by how vulnerable Crystal Yuan played the FL without being too whiney. BRavo!

I know what you mean. It took me a while to realize why he looked familiar. He played another tragic character in Sword Snow Stride. I hope he gets a better ending here, especially after his beautiful loyalty for his Second Brother.

I agree. It seems to be a byproduct of her being in the police corps as a young woman. To survive (and part of her upbringing), she has had to become tough and rough. She didn't have the luxury to be a delicate young lady. So she knows how to please and joke with people and even to compliment women (all people really) in a sometimes outrageous manner, which succeeds in winning people over. And Lu Yi recognizes this when he describes Jin Xia to his crazy cousin.

He starts out that way since he always has to be "top dog" but then when he starts to fall for her, he starts to bend and becomes gentler and more protective of her. He later laughs at himself as he lets her have her way a lot.

I agree and it is really so sweet with the couples and friendships. The themes of loyalty and filial piety are also very good. So glad I started this drama.
