Finally finished it, I have watched quite a number of wuxia and frankly, wuxia and xianxia are my favorite genres. I do enjoy war scenes but LOL idk why I couldn't get into this no matter how hard I try. Almost every war scene is x2 speed for me.
The last 6-7 episodes everything happened so quickly (after Lady Baili and FengJu got caught), I felt the progression to the wars and whatnot were way too quick from that point onwards. Ngl kinda expected HC to ascend the throne, even though HFX have always wanted to rule but I think as time progressed he realized that ruling the world isn't everything. I think this especially showed during the tianyin chess scene whereby he cut all 2999 strings except the one tied to BFX. YWY was a decent villain, though how in the world did HC not noticed he was the villain, YWY literally felt so sus when talking to HC. MY POOR HAN PU ;-; I cried so badly, he was a good kid.
I feel this drama really had the potential to be better if it wasn't for the 40 episode rule, I wish they followed The Blue Whisper and spilt it into 2 rather than cutting scenes. Honestly felt that 42-45 episodes would have been better.
Nonetheless, amazing effort from the whole team. I think the chemistry between the leads are pretty good.
Gu An Sheng is over the top man it’s so irritating to see him controlling his sister’s life. Which brother touches his sister so much like that I can’t even. He is lowkey so creepy
oh just now done watching ep30 Nahhh even the 4th reincarnation is not gonna end well I think and I hate people…
I’m so??? The sect leader is all about “oh yao are bad as long they are yao they are all bad” totally agree with what qing Yan said if there are good and bad people why not good and bad yao. Also did you see the look on the xing jun’s face at the end of ep 30 + he said he is awaiting qing yan’s 18th birthday SOMETHING IS FISHY
I totally agree with you but i have come to realize that most of these drama there's always some kind of misunderstanding…
Agreed, I mean with most dramas especially historical there are multiple misunderstandings that are usually hard to resolve but oh god this one is just misunderstandings upon misunderstandings
I’m not ready for the 4th life, apparently it’s going to be the most angst out of all 4 lives ;-; watched a video that explained the game plot and I finally understand why game fans are saying it’s as sad as goodbye my Princess ;-; IM NOT READY
Lol the starting was great but I’m losing my mind over the number of misunderstandings in this show even the episode previews shows so many misunderstandings
No he gets dubbed on everything apparently his mandarin is bad
It’s not about his Chinese being bad or not. Dubbing especially in historical dramas is to ensure the consistency in speech and tone. China has many dialects, ways of speech and accents this causes actors to have inconsistencies. An actor from northern might sound different from southern China even though they are speaking standard mandarin (普通话) as at many times accents get carried over due to their dialects. Hence many Chinese dramas uses dubbing. Historical dramas especially is due to the tone used in ancient China is wildly different from current times, therefore, to give the show an even more historical feel dubbing is necessary. Not only that, most productions use dubbing is due to the background noise caused when filming at public locations.
