Yeah in that sense it's not like I expect top notch writing. I just get upset about misogynistic tropes because they're literally everywhere and I keep hoping it won't happen whenever I watch something then get disappointed all over again. I got kind of attached to Soojin's character lol they made her really great initially so I don't want them to ruin that at least.

Yes but in that case her character should also get a redemption arc and I'm worried they won't do it well or at all since the drama is nearing its end... And also while I agree that the circumstances could make her act this way, there was still no real sign of it in the drama... aka bad writing. Or should I say lazy writing, seeing as they clearly don't care about her character development. She's now a tool to create conflict. They'd better address and resolve her domestic violence situation somehow at least, she deserves better than this.
Was it really necessary to ruin Soojin's character like that? I realize her character was originally not a good person in the webtoon but why go through all the trouble of building her character as a good person in the drama only to suddenly turn her into this? Why is kdramaland so obsessed with presenting female second leads as scheming while we're supposed to like the male second lead? Does it even make sense for her character to suddenly hate her own friend just because of this? There was no buildup showing her to be this kind of person at all. It's giving me whiplash.
I love this drama so much. I started with somewhat low expectations but it ended up being one of my favorites. The main couple is adorable and they resolve conflicts fairly quickly so it's not frustrating to watch. The only thing I'm a bit upset about is the office manager's storyline. I would have loved to see more about him in general outside of his crush. And since they made that the focal point of his character, what was the point if he was just going to be rejected anyway?
also i'm calling it right now: jae yi is kwang ho's daughter. which makes his sexist outbursts towards…
oh no it's absolutely because of the time he's from, i agree, but it's still sexist. it was entirely possible for someone to NOT be sexist in the 80s, and he's apparently not one of those people, which is honestly a bit disappointing
side-eyeing the writers for pushing shin jae yi into a romance plot. at least her partner is kinda strange too so it might be somewhat interesting to watch
Isn't Yeon Joo way too young in the flashbacks? She's in her late 20s now if I remember correctly and the webtoon has been going on for less than 10 years. She should be high school/college age in the flashbacks
Shouldn't Ji Tae be younger than Joon Young? Since JY was born before his father got married? Why does No Eul…
Yeah most things point to him being older and if they don't have the same father they should have explained that, since this way it just seems like a plot hole
Shouldn't Ji Tae be younger than Joon Young? Since JY was born before his father got married? Why does No Eul keep calling JT "ajussi" if he's younger than her? Or am I missing something? It seems strange because they said that those two had a thing while he was still in college and then broke up.
