I just enjoyed this Tang detective mystery series set, with the main idea being behind a supernatural mystery is a human cause to it. I like that Su Wuming relies on his smarts and wit. The martial arts action comes from his side kick, Lu Lingfeng . I like how as Lu Lingfeng continues to learn from Su Wuming to solve mysterious circumstances Lu Lingfeng's character shows growth too. I also like the dynamics between Su Wuming, Lu Lingfeng, Pei Xijun, and Ying Tao, and to add chicken lover physician Fei Qiao.
