I don't like it for them but in terms of character development I think it's a great move that the writers made…
This is such an insightful read on the situation. I think we’ve seen Won as the protagonist in so many ways, and Sarang as the easy-going character who hasn’t had to change much, but you are so right. She will have some pain coming up as she learns to navigate what it means to face her future with Won and what that means for her career, and their new family (assuming that marriage is the endgame here, of course). Won lost his mom as a child and covered up his pain by shunning relationships and hating insincere people (which, in his world, he sees as most everyone). Sarang lost her mom as a child and covered up her pain by taking on everyone else’s burdens and smiling her way through it all. I love that I can feel confident that they’ll tackle it together, though, as you said. I love this drama!

It took me MONTHS to get through this drama. I don’t know why I didn’t just drop it. Probably because of all the hype surrounding it, I thought for sure it would improve at some point. Nope. The constant body-shaming of the characters, the ridiculous reason Bok Joo gave for not wanting her crush to see her weightlifting (my face changes into a grimace when I lift a heavy weight! Oh no! Don’t cry, or give birth, or have a bowel movement! Haha!) It was all so many kinds of ridiculous and frustrating. And her acting was so over-the-top and annoying. The story was bland, the acting was terrible for the most part, and the story was all over the place. I hated this show. I cannot understand the love for it.
