What’s your tolerance for scary?

I’ve only gotten to episode 4 but so far, it’s been very light on the thrills. Lots of humor when the gangsters are involved, some sad bits when you meet the family in ep 3 or 4.

There’s a very mild “creepy” scene in ep 4 in the 2015 timeline where someone is watching the Mains from inside a cabinet but it’s not really scary imo

Just finished 27 I was so happy to see the proposal 🥹 I hope Wangyan doesn’t die. It’ll break my heart if they make Wuyi kill her 😭

You mean to tell me the styling team gave him the ugliest wig and the least fancy clothes, but the one time they have him in something gorgeous, it gets cut? 😭 I’ve been robbed.

I think if he and CDL were listed as supporting roles the backlash wouldn’t be so bad because people would have come in with different expectations.

If we just focus on the good stuff, he and Dudu had a touching storyline in the spirit stone illusion, their chemistry is great, they have no misunderstandings, and their outfits (especially Dudu’s) have looked nice! Plus there’s no way WSG will still be a bum in the final episodes, right? We’ll have something to enjoy for sure!

I’m bummed about that too but I guess it’s because of the low episode number. The director probably couldn’t lessen Su Jian’s backstory because the plot wouldn’t make sense.

Shiguang has been particularly plot device-y in this arc but I’m sure he and Wangyan will have more to do in the next one.

I’m pleasantly surprised they’re popular because I rarely see anyone gushing about them online and we rarely see them. 💀

I watched the trailer for 24 and it was nice to see Wuwu getting to sit and chat about their plans and worries. 🥹 I feel like those two haven’t had a meaningful talk since the “breakup”

I don't see a lot of comments about them either but I adore them! I like how they have a steady relationship without much conflict or drama. They both seem so reliable. The focus isn't on them in this arc but I'm sure we'll get some fun stuff when Shiguang unlocks his final evolution!

The flowy clothes are so pretty but so impractical for fight scenes! LOL The thing I'm not used to (and am glad we haven't gotten more of) is bendy swords 😆

I laughed when Han Ba called out Shiguang's plain outfits. He's right though. ZSX is always good looking to me but I really hope we get to see Shiguang in a flashier outfit and with his hair down after this arc.

I'd say manage your expectations and it should be fine! This director specializes in aesthetics, costuming, and sad endings. He's not known for his strong plots, and people aren't really a fan of his BGM choices (though I personally think the use of dubstep matches the energy of the show perfectly lol).

Looooots of characters and some actors play more than one character so if this is your first Chinese drama, you might need to take note of names and character relationships

She kind of has a very short but happy relationship with Li Yunrui toward the end of Parallel World, and she doesn't get much romance since she's playing a minor but she gets a loving and supportive... coworker who asks her to marry him in Riverside Code at Qingming Festival!

She has a possibly upcoming drama with Fiction Guo with a romance tag and they're both the leads so fingers crossed she gets a happy ending there!
