I'm kind of hoping that we find out that Chenzhou, Shirong, and Suifeng aren't actually evil and that Chenzhou started the Power Gang for a good reason and they all (+Mingzhu) team up in the final episodes to defeat the true evil!
I agree with you on the Xiao parents. I think Suifeng is keeping them prisoner somewhere and learning that is how Qiushui will be able to befriend him in the future.
I could be wrong but I think it's because she knows she can't beat Qiushui and that Suifeng will be angry with her for her failure, possibly even killing her or removing her from his service. She's also aware that the Sword King is in league with the Fire King, so lying about him keeps her safe and able to stay by Suifeng's side (for now), and eliminates one of his enemies.
