man i'm at ep 6 and i'm thoroughly enjoying the drama so far. the suspense/case aspect isn't really anything outstanding or mind blowing but it is still enjoyable. i like both the ml & the fl, they're both mature and smart. def going to keep watching!
man omg if you're thinking of whether this show is worth watching then this is your sign! go watch it right now, it is so good. everything from the story, to the acting, to the cinematography is just chef's kiss perfection!!!
man i am so disappointed, i can't believe that the whole special ep is just about Jin Yu Zhen and the ex !!!!!!! like wtf??? like i was fully expecting to see someJin Yu Zhen and Shi Lei wholesome content. but no, we only get 2 mins of the MAIN couple, sigh...
genuinely curious how do they plan to wrap up the series in satisfactory way with everything going on still?? like man i was rooting for this show. why do they have to drag things off till ep 11, we only have one ep left, sigh. i really hope the last ep is longer than the usual ep length
oh god oh god ep 8 was just so so cute and fluffy and sweet. Jin Yu Zhen and Shi Lei are the cutest ever; when they cuddled to sleep on the floor i was just vibrating with giddiness. aah there were so many cute moments. Jin Yu Zhen going all soft and smiley for Shi Lei has me screaming, and Shi Lei being all giddy and caring,, , slams fist on table, i want more of them!! Shi Lei's mom is the mvp man, she was so supportive and attentive, trying to get them to realize their feelings for each other. i loved how supportive and understating she was when Shi Lei opened up about his feelings for Jin Yu Zhen , it was a really touching and a much needed moment . i really hope the ex's plot won't be used to like cause misunderstandings or pull them apart when they've just gotten to warm up to each other. this was the sweetest ep so far, i loved loved it!!! can next week come already??!
I'm curious as to why the totality of the trope/cliche/fluff/predictable writing and plot don't annoy you at least…
yeah it can get tiring to see the same stories be used over and over but that's not always the case; the characters, actors, directing ect, can set similar plotlines apart. cliches are cliches for a reason, they're not everybody's cup of tea, which is okay bc each person has their own preferences. if you like your coffee a certain way you'll def keep making it that way most of the times you're gonna have it and you'll still enjoy it every time. like personally, i like to watch cliche fluff in between other heavy dramas as a nice no brainer break, or when i'm just tired/sad and need some serotonin to get through my day.
i don't why there're lots of people complaining about the pace of the main couple's romance when it just fits their story; a slow burn is a given when you have a hate to love trope, with two characters who have contrasting personalities. and let me tell you it is a delight to watch Shei Lei and Jin Yu Zhen explore their feelings and slowly open up to one another. the show is really sweet and lovely, you can't help but smile while watching it, and the chemistry is just chef's kiss. the plot isn't anything ground breaking or heavy it's just a light big ball of fluff. so if you're looking to watch something that's cliche fluffy, simple, and just a great pick me up you should def check this out!
