Hi, no - it starts in Finland and quite a lot of episodes are done in Finland so much so I had the feeling I do…
You are welcome! I watched this show in winter and the show itself appeared to convey a "European saddness" in the Helsinki episodes. Finland is a country in NorthEast of Europe and that feeling you will not get in the China episodes nor in the French ones.

I have a quick question. Is this show set in Hellsinki the entire time?
Hi, no - it starts in Finland and quite a lot of episodes are done in Finland so much so I had the feeling I do not watch a Chinese production at all. Then the main couple is set to "take a plane to travel to an "island" but in reality they travel to different locations in France and there is beautiful scenery from the French Alps and a Lake in France. Then the action moves to China (but please do not ask me where in China as I am myself European and it was months since I watched so even if I had located it then now cannot tell. I did not finish all the episodes but I think these are the places the show takes place.

Please where do you watch this drama with Eng Subs? Or any other translations, (like Russian, Spanish)? Is there a good translation available into any European language, do you know?

Please did you get why ML went to police in last scene? Was it something to do with the last contract he signed - maibe failed to understand translation.

The moment when a wuxia drama is going with some comedies and heartwarming stuff it means shit is going to happen…

Title Boss & Me
The highlight of this drama is that the FL is so cute and adorable. There is ok chemistry with the ML, but ML…
Yes, lol, the actress playing in the main female role is acting very well. I did watch it quickly - the whole series carry some tone of positivism, now I started over only the parts with FL - monologues etc - quite enjoyable acting skills. Yes, I agree with you that the actor in ML is not to that level. Yes, they have chemistry, yes, the humorous parts are very funny, I do not know if it's the role or why - but the FL acress just shines here.

Don't know. Does not sound interesting. I was looking for a good rom-com or comedy in both K-drama and C-drama. Learned that rom-coms are rare in C-drama, (they make historic and wuxia), hope to find something in K-drama. Can you recommend - something light - may be also a pure comedy, not a rom-com.

Are you sure Vin Zhang is in Ashes of Love.. There's a few of us who watched AOL don't remember he was in it...…
Do you know if it is possible to write a recommendation to Vin Zhang - I watched another production with his and got nightmares - he plays too realistic .
Dar Jae Mar 23, 2023
You mention in your review you hated Vin Zhang because of another role of his. I first saw him here in Song of the MOON. And all other actors from Song of the Moon. I started watching other productions with the main actors but would like of note that I had a similar problem like yours with Vin Zhang. What I actually think is he, Vin Zhang is a very good actor so he performs his work with dilligence so his character becomes truely alive. But this makes bad characters like real as well as good characters. I truely think his own character has nothing to do with the role characters. I came to write this comment after I watched King's woman - I was having nightmares - and not only because of his role - the drama was very cruel after 40 ep onwards. So I am kind of stressed to watch something new with him because he is too dangerous. Is there a way to communicate to this actor - I would really advice he would not take bad guys roles as he performs so realistics that viewers take them like living. Now, I can truely tell what the character of the first Emperor of China really was. But I have read of some actors that take roles - or have roles made specific for them to match their own temper - I read something like this for the FL of ROmance of the Little Forrest. However I do not think something like that was done for Vin Zhang - I think he is just too good to do different kind of roles - seems to take his job serious and makes the best of his work, and is also talanted enough to only go for roles where he would merely be playing himself.

Yes, there is romance, but would not say a lot. Maybe in the start when the two leads are in the mortal realm,…
I meant to re-watch it to recall, but could not due to unexpected serious problem, did not watch anything thouse days. But after Song of the Moon, in February, I saw other dramas with same actors and saw The King's Woman with same actor as ML. I mention this because you were asking regarding romance. King's Woman is described as a romance drama but is about the first Emperor who unites China. ActorVin Zhang makes role characters like real ones - so drama it's very realistic, very cruel and in the later episodes even had nightmares. I would not re-watch. Do not know if c-dramas have something light like romcoms - romantic comedies, this was way too serious.

hello, what do you mean with Japanese clothing? otherwise, I agree the FL is quite fun, the ML as well. I am new in watching c-dramas but find it difficult to find comedies, so yes, agree with your review

You are welcome! Yes, in a way, there are alot ahead, because the story moves into another realm. Lu Li dies and Lou Ge appears - but he does not remember FL at all. Lou Ge is Immortal. He puts her to trials and gets anew impressed by her - so, it is like a new romance is springing, but different. And once he almost killed her, due to the endless tricks the bad third female was plotting.

Review Song of the Moon Spoiler
Is there a lot of romance? Any love triangles? Happy ending?
Yes, there is romance, but would not say a lot. Maybe in the start when the two leads are in the mortal realm, as well as second couple - A Fu and the Fairy. I understand your question because C-Dramas tend to have very strong romantic lines in their dramas, but here the focus is on more on relationships than romance. The storyline is then brought up to the Immortal Palace and rather than romance it triggers the relationship between the ML and FL which becomes an ethernal bond as they are immortals. Regarding love triangles - there is a Ha Na, in love with the FL but is a mutual friend of both FL and ML. And yes, there is a very bad female aiming at the ML. Regarding the ending - it has two endings - ep 39 which is very dramatic, and 40 which can be understood as happy.

It starts off light when ML is a mortal, but it gets angsty and somewhat painful (depending on your threshold…
WOW, what an image of Zhang Binbin in this series! Hope to find time to watch that, too.
On Song of the Moon Feb 22, 2023
Just found another drama with the actor who plays A FU - Riley Wang - drama Nine kms of Love - and he plays even better than here in Song of the Moon. I found the actors in Song of the Moon very good - so also watched another movie with Zhang Binbin - A romance of the Little Forrest - I wrote a review on it. Also another drama with the actor who played Ha Na - Wang You Shuo - (no my review) but actor was unrecognisable - so very different image than Ha Na - one where his characted finally became the Emperor. I really need to start writing reviews for all I watch - will keep track on what I watch and may help others.
