Not the best series ever. The main couple seemed to be trying too hard to achieve chemistry. I did watch it to the end and don't exactly regret it, though the final twist in the last episodes had been begging to be revealed for a while. Why did the ML agree to act in this? He's worth so much more – Something in the Rain in particular but not only.
I missed this series the first time round, and was impressed by the structure of the plot in particular. It was the first time I've seen crime investigators going down so many wrong rabbit holes that seemed eminently plausible at each particular juncture as the multiple twists and turns in the events unfolded. I also thought two lead characters worked well together, their different intelligences bouncing off each other very neatly. I would have liked to see them get together romantically at certain points but it also felt right that they might not. I hadn't seen either of these actors before and would like to view other series /films starring them, especially Cho Seung Woo. The secondary actors were all superbly cast, even , ultimately, Chae Moo Sung who usually plays more limited roles as a muscle-man. I also appreciated Lee Jun Hyuk playing a very morally ambiguous prosecutor. Shin Hye Sun, as ever, was excellent in a more minor role than we now expect from her. The first series may have had a bit more punch than the second, but then again, I would have watched a third with pleasure. There was still plenty of corruption that needed clearing up.
