If the Heavenly Emperor knew of a way to revive Dongqiu then he could have told it to them earlier. Maybe then Suzhi wouldn't have taken the drastic step she did eventually. Some modicrum of justice would have been granted to her people and their lives wouldn't have been rendered meaningless.
But it took Yetan sacrificing herself for that scumbag to finally open his mouth and tell everyone about the solution. For all we know,he could have done it to save his face for he realised that he had no one left.
It was touching to see Yetan being concerned about CF's well being after they both lost their beloved Kui. Meanwhile Youqin was no less distraught when Kui sacrificed her life. The four leads did not just find love but also a family.
I think that if the carriages had not been swapped it would be more likely that Yetan fought the void prince's…
This is an interesting What If? scenario.
If the swap hadn't occurred then I can see Yetan quickly adapting to the power struggle of the Void Realm, easily winning the Void Tyrant's favour, rising up the ranks and, inevitably, clashing with the Void Empress. The prince she would have chosen to support would have been, most likely,Wudai mainly because he would be easy to dominate.
Her equation with Chaofeng could have taken a number of turns. I think there would have been hostility and distrust between the two at first with them gradually bonding over their mutual animosity with the Void Empress as well as the struggles they had to face in life as the outcasts of their respective families. They would have also respected each other's fierce determination to survive at all costs. In one scenario,I see Chaofeng letting go of his ambition to become the Crown Prince after realising that Yetan is different from the Void Empress and wouldn't harm him or his mother. In another scenario,I see the two forming an alliance in which she helps him become the Crown Prince while he helps her in destroying the Void Empress. Both help further each other's ambitions and rule the Void as a power couple.
Meanwhile YQ and QK would have had an arranged marriage,as per Immortal standards, and would have immediately respected each other with love developing between the two eventually.
However, neither of the two relationships would have had a love as powerful or epic as they had with their destined soulmates.
I find it to be really amusing because in the last episode,Chaofeng had joked about Youqin falling in love with him if they end up spending more time with each other only for CXX and CMC to star together in another drama.
BL or bromance,it will be a treat to watch those together again onscreen with HXL. I wish LLD had more screentime.
I hope this drama does see the light of the day and soon enough.
I also think it was her feelings for Wenren that really helped her see that she was in love with all 3 hence she…
The moment when all three soul shards came together to defend Yetan and agreed to combine their souls, not caring that there was a chance of them being erased from existence, was really touching. It also implied how selfless Youqin's love for Yetan was.
The soul shard arc is necessary because not only do we get to see different aspects of Youqin's persona that had been tucked away but Yetan also undergoes the different stages of love and learns to love the various sides of SYQ.
Your wish for CXX & LLD reminds me of this edit. CXX is so handsome in a suit. https://www.iesdouyin.com/share/video/7212297290759900476/?region=PH&mid=7201851096027925307&u_code=0&did=MS4wLjABAAAAqE7yuethW0DJjQVpmfc0O7xthEvWa8AH_VxvcCtVEyUGCpjPEMnvw-dv6VxwEexT&iid=MS4wLjABAAAANwkJuWIRFOzg5uCpDRpMj4OX-QryoDgn-yYlXQnRwQQ&with_sec_did=1&titleType=title&from_ssr=1&from=web_code_link
I never knew how much I needed CXX/LLD in a modern reincarnation AU until now.
I would count Jeremy among those who seldom disappoint acting wise even if the project in not upto the mark. My favourite performance of his so far is Yuwen Hu from The Legend Of Dugu. He did complete justice to the character's ruthless Machiavellian nature as well as his vulnerability and softer aspects. He also had scintillating chemistry with Ady An where both of them fed from each other's energies in the scenes they shared.
I am looking forward to watching Royal Rumours now.
I find it so hard to move on from TSL and it is rare for me to get this invested in a drama. Within a short span of time,I developed a strong attachment to the characters.
True I hated the HE so much but even he was such a complex character that we do see in how he deals with his son’s…
The fact that everyone unanimously loathes the HE is an indicator that the writers and actor have succeeded in their work. His self righteousness and phony sanctimony got under my skin until the very end when he refused to admit and acknowledge his wrongdoings.
Out of all three soul shards, I think the one Yetan was attracted to the most is Wenren. The keyword here is attraction and not love since all three were loved by her. His charm, sophistication and elegance had her floored before she found out about his womanizing nature.

CXX would undoubtedly nail it as a devilishly attractive alpha male. I loved his performance in Goodbye My Princess.
