Adding this to my list just in case I forgot yet I wont watch it for now. I dont want to close the file of this story/drama in my brain. I want something to remain 'to watch' I dont know why. I liked them a lot but I dont really love them. I just dont want to fall into that darned 'looking for worthy romance Jdorama yet drop most of them after 2 eps' pit again if I complete this one...
I gave this 15eps because 1.Li Lan Di 2. Story was quite interesting in first 2 eps and I was hopeful about it. After 10eps I lost that hope. After 15eps I was skipping so much that I gave up on it.
I started and completed for Huang RiYing. Its hard to come by costume leads from her. Costume and styling in this looked amazing on her. I wasnt interested in anything from drama though... I almost forgot it was playing on other tab when she wasnt on screen.
That opening song! It makes me think of some story I liked before YET I CANT REMEMBER WAHHH T^T I hate this feeling... I really do like Wang An Yu's acting but there ist much dramas going on for him lately I wonder why... I also started liking Liu Hao Cun from her photos so Im searching for a drama/character I can like her more. Let me just say I wasnt impressed with writing of this drama. After ep 10 I asked myself why I cont to this I didnt liked it on that level.
Ive missed Chen Xing Xu and Im trying to find a serie where I can warm up to actress ZJY through her character also acting but leaving this after 5 eps. I dont know when I will be able to find another worthy republic serie to complete it...

I always end up liking/adore Liu Hao Cun whenever I saw her updates on Cent pages I follow. I dont think I watched her before.I think its her aura or vibe I feel closer to. She has beauty but who doesnt in Cent ehh maybe its just me having soft spot for another meimei.. So I decided to check some of her dramas I end up with this one. 'Parallel Universe' plots are hard to like for me. I tried to feel interested in plot, it didnt happen. I didnt even cared for romance part of plot also couldnt feel any chem between leads as characters also actors. This goes to 'not interested' list of dramas... I appropriate they tried something different for modern dramas though.Opening music and some instrumental soundtracks were fit for this kind of plot.

Yeah that music. Plus that was the very first trailer promo we have got but they were sure to put that music with it. That decision throw me off but not enough to make me scared. Im just disappointed a little lets wait for more details for now *-* Quite excited for this pairing.
This drama has many things I really like: 1. Second Chance at Romance 2. Qin Lan 3. Wallace Chung So lets hope I will also end up liking script and story telling. I cant really say I liked the first trailer after watching. Not because of what Ive seen though. The background song and the way they edit it was like a web drama...
Something was missing from writing of lead couple's loveline. I cant tell what was it but its a shame...this was the biggest WHY I gave a low score. Its been so long to find a new face to enjoy in costume dramas. Lead girl's big brother was so handsome, charming, so tender when he needs to, his gaze was so heart warming to watch.He was an amazing big brother to 2 sisters, amazing son to their widow mother, amazing general to his soldiers wahhhhh their story would be enough as leads for a different drama actually. Him pairing up with precious Huang RiYing was a plus! they look SO LOVELY AS A PAIRINGGG T^T Secondary couple end up being my fave even tho I was here for leads.
Im glad producers are giving roles to Joe Chen in costume dramas. Her princess character was something rare to find in these dramas. Her relationship with lead girl was also so nice to see. Ive been missing watching her since Fated to Love You in 2008! She and her character is like my 'White Moonlight'... Why on earth she just started to appear in these dramas SERIOUSLY WHY SO LATEE! better late than never tho...
Crown Prince has a good progress and that development worth it in the end. Li Qing portraying CP made me have a soft spot for the character... This guy is really good actor so natural with his characters and its just his whole aura while acting. But having no background to help him get leads even in smaller productions..gee..
I dont remember when was the last time I watched so many characters having many siblings, then siblings having nice close to real life relationships, talking, fighting and loving each other. This detail was a good surprise for me.

I know what you mean. Most fans here (esp in last 5 or so years) are like worshiping celebrities. Its like if you are fan of someone, then you have to like whatever they do, wear, play/appear in it. Once you dont and point that part out they get so defensive about it and most probably call you 'anti'. Or worse they kinda group with others like themselves and lynch others around with random comment fights online... This place used to be clean and neat in earlier years :')
When I first saw this drama news I was shocked and couldnt believe because of casting! Not only leads all the veterans I adore and enjoy watching together and younger gen leads are also from my top faves! I E N J O Y watching veterans with such precious characters in dramas other than weekend dramas. Its like as if I watched them in live theater play so precious TT I was waiting for right mood to enjoy this kind of story to the fullest until now. First 8eps were 10/10! Loved ALLLL the little side stories,characters so much it was so emotional even if they only show up for like 3-5minute max. Humor sense was really up to my liking XD I felt very close to writing & story telling of this drama.
ps. that narrative sound going on and off randomly while lead female goes through emotionally complex moments were so funny I almost choke myself while eating my food X'D
-Around ep8-9 that narrative girl disappear and with that story dragged the 'plot twist' part too long for my liking. They made viewers think that plot twist was something distasteful between the lead couple's life story. That part ruined my joy for a while for real. I dont think it was necessary to drag it to create a misunderstanding like that. They focused so much on that plot twist that they didnt give enough last moment impact on mother and son moments :') And then there was that comments made my lead guy about reincarnated as father and daughter in one life next to wife and husband cause he doted on her so much etr... That was too much for me to stomach excuse me.
Im not sure about their dynasties but this haircut is for Qing Dynastny right*-* Its been ages I didnt discover or watch any Qing dramas!! Its Sun Qian first time in a costume drama yes?! plus her partner is Chen Xiao!! aaaaaaaaahhh *dolphin fangirl voices Trailer's first part is all nice and comedic but then boom... second half looks so serious,dramatic and kinda bloody. I hope it will be interesting enough to not drop I really miss this kind of story settings.
