Yup I know what you mean xD I didnt see any model I didnt like on LYN yet but I still remember some of the wigs I had trauma while watching! For example Li Xian in Sword Dynasty:.... I cant even express how I feel for that wig they used on him.. Did you see recent interview with XuKai & Jing tian there was a Q with wigs... he was talking how they shave around the hairline so they have to keep ıt short before drama filming...or else they would shave the shorter haır agaın and put some glue-ish stuff for wigs and then they start to lose hair.He even said he did add hair to him ın past so naturally made me laugh xD (eng sub credit is @tiff_ilosophy on twitter she shares quite a lot of Cdrama/variety stuff if you feel interested..)
One hell of a disappointment.... first 10,-15 eps were quite easy watch and cute but then I dont know what the heck happened. Waste of money, acting,all those costumes...

Im not sure if he had (didnt check any new photos from his upcoıming costume series yet) BUT Im always scared of styling in costume series thats why I said that xD I also like the details on it like beads and threads..I think I prefer open forehead in male leads unless bangs looks realllly good with all the character's details & his costume.

Sang Zhi was definitely better written in novel and I dont know how she ends up like most cdrama heroines in the drama... Since we started talking with Chen Zheyuan you ve gotta see his prevıous serie ''Our Secret''. One of the most pure and well written youth Cdrama imo. His chemistry was so natural and felt like they really grow up from childhood to adulthood together<3
When its this subject one of the best Cactor should be ''Jeremy Tsui'. Even tho I cant say much good words for his script choices he always does those lingering eyes OR the tearful angry eyes at his partners which breaks my heart I JUST LOVE IT! You should see it yourself. I will recommend; The Legend of Dugu(2018) & Legend of the Phoenix (2019). These two are my faves of his dramas because of the chemistry and script.
There is 'Zhang Xin Cheng'. Whatever role he playing he always have amazing gaze and mimics.He do the longing look so well. His drama 'Go Ahead' is a worthy to watch and rewatch even recommend<3
Recently I finished Longest Promise and the second lead guy 'Alen Fang' character's gazes almost killed me while binge watching TT. Writer didnt do fair in second half of drama but still its worth a watch imo.
There is 'Ou Hao' He looks very sharp and manly handsome in his profile I know but believe me when his character is sad or in love or he is missing/looking at the love of his life in a drama I feel like he is for real! I really love the mature-ish slow slice of life romance drama he played with Song Qian: Love Under the Moon.
'Deng Kai' ! Underrated actor wasting as second lead roles... Recent drama 'Butterflied Lover ' has a secondary couple and you should see what kınd of gazes he can do! Its a shame their couple wasnt the lead Im still under effect of their story :') He was also very sincere with his gazes and mimics
There are many fans who loves and writes Wu Lei's name but I was only impressed with his acting & chemistry whenI watched modern drama 'Nothing But you' with Zhou Yutong.Still not over this pairing its so hard to find such a thing in modern Cdramas!
I want to add 'Xu Kai Cheng' in this list BUT not in every serie he is that good in acting.YET his costume serie with Zhao Lusi ''A Female Student Arrives at the Imperial College' is one of my faves because of lead couple's writing & their chemistry was amazing. I was surprised how much I liked his acting there and the chemıstry wıth her..
There is a newbie actor I found in last months but he only does shorter series for now I think? His name is 'Wang Zu Yi' very emotional eyes and mimics. Hope we can see him longer and as lead especially ın costume series.

I would recommendyou to read the novel before. Its very short and worth reading. You wont feel that weird feeling when lead couple has a scene in book. Because in drama even when she was a child/younger they put slow motion, close up angles & background musıc as if its already a romantic scene... I was only able to overcome the feeling & cont. watching because I knew the real story also I liked both casting...
This was one of a kind and Im still not tired of rewatching! Especially in cold weather I like to sit cozy with blanket, warm drink and enjoy rewatching it *-*
