For me I just enjoy the story with great costumes & filming sets PLUS watching fave actress& actors with sımılar storıes.
With this story since they dont like to use soul chance/time travel in series they changed into 'twin' instead. There wasnt any twin in the novel...
The way they edited first episode's the soul change part was exact same with most Cnovels. First character ends up falling of cliff, falling in water or just dying with hardships.Then BOOM! Same body wakes up in bed, doesnt remember who she was, doesnt remembr how she can create cool stuff or cook food BUT she does it anyway xD

I was going to give this a 9 in first half but then secondhalf happened. Second half was way too much draggy political stuff with one of the most despicable emperors i have seen in these serıes!
I didnt drop because I was already binge watching and really loved lead couple :') casting choice was so good also their chemistry was lovable<3 The relatıonshıp between lead girl and Empress was also one of the reason i didnt drop this.
But really its a shame all second half of serıe got wasted just like that...

Who is her company/agent?! Why not give her more costume serie works?! :c
She is gorgeous in 'Legend of Phoenix' and her acting & mimics are awesome! Not stiff at all like some more famous actresses out there.

After years of dropping this many times i finally finished it (still skipped some parts in latter episodes with side characters)!!
I have been watching asian dramas since i was teenager now Im 30+ and Never seen a drama made me pause BECAUSE OF SECONDHAND EMBARRASSMENT. The writing of this story especıally female lead girl was ''sick'' and no I dont regret for saying this.. I also tried novel many tımes but couldnt finish it it made me so uncomfortable the way she behaved.
I was able to watch drama because of Yang Zhi & Li Xian were the pair for leads.
Leave alone the problem of female character's writing story also doesnt have much to talk about... I dont get how this get so much high points from younger generation... yes its only a fiction but also shows how many females around world mostly okay with lead girl being that way ;_; ..

Right! Plus I have a soft spot for any costume serie. I just love the sceneries details of head accs and dresses, the wigs etr its all feels more novel than modern dramas. Its hard to find as much as costume series than modern dramas gotta check most of them *-*

Yeah her logic was hard to binge watch for me x'D But I usually pick up the dramas i dropped before and i end up enjoying them after some time in between. I think its also about the mood Im in or something like that? There are times im surprised how much i actually end up liking some serie I dropped before xD...

Dropped that one more than 2 times i remember correctly.One of those days i will probably try again cause there isnt enough costume series out there ;A;

Im not good with Kmovies but looking at first 3 casting my eyes went 0_0 Ive to check this once its out..

Its his real voice *-* I like his voice a lot more than his good looks actually.

Im actually bitter because they dubbed Bai Lu's voice... Really not used to watch her with any other person's voice because I watch her behind the scenes videos of many series she acted in.My brain cant just accept her with different voice now x'D

The things i endure to watch more ZLS and costume settings :0... the way they execute this story with so many awful family members from both leads and side roles was just not worth the time and internet i wasted lol
BUT like i say im always in need of more costume dramas and welcome them especıally when they have my loved stars as leads... Now going to endure second season cause I dont have anything better to do this couple of days anyway

ps: gotta skip most horse scenes cause Cdrama producers' awful treatment on horses!
