If you're looking for a mature storyline in a xianxia, this is definitely it. And I mean like, mature thinking, characters, and plot. Not one that's filled with impulsive decisions and young blood. The cast also has solid acting. ML is a little gray, while the FL is such a bad*ss!!!! Kind, but also wise. At first I thought she was too much of a saint and would be naive and gullible. She may be very empathetic but boy can she seriously kick*ss and doesn't put up with bs. She's also really smart and observant! Definitely one of my favorite FLs of all time. Loved the ML's cunningness too. Both leading actors carried their roles so well. It's a slowpaced xianxia, but definitely filled with layers. It's far from boring to me and I enjoyed every episode so much. I liked the envoy who came to invite YZ to immortality, to be a god. I totally agreed with that. (But I remembered that there is a dialogue from the trailer that doesn't exist in the drama, it was cut. TY's voice saying to YZ (I am the moon, you are the sun, forever together in the sky).
