I haven't watched POB. My comparison is with KMLM. I haven't watched today's episodes yet. I just suspect that I'll find them better than what you're commenting on here.

I have a hunch she's faking it and hasn't lost her memory. This is very convenient, since she's right next to the main villain. (And she had already discovered this fact before falling off the cliff.)

How can everything turned like this 💀
I'm on chapter 129 of 246 chapters in the book. They haven't really fallen in love yet. They haven't opened their hearts yet. That's in the book.(What they feel is kept to themselves, others notice, but they themselves do not notice).
The tacit understanding has not yet happened in the book. I don't know in which chapter it happens. Until chapter 129 of 246 chapters, it is not.

I was amazed by Liu Xueyi's acting skills in "Peach Blossoms Reflecting the Country" 18 episodes, 22 minutes and 54 seconds! He only relied on subtle changes in his expression to show Shen Zaiye's complex emotions vividly, the yin owl in his eyes and the hidden tenderness, and the sense of substitution was super strong~

In fact, the drama is following the essence of the book (but in a more palpable, less aggressive, less incomprehensible way). The drama, despite some loose ends due to being written by 11 screenwriters, is more sensitive and palatable (the happy ending of the book is much more acceptable in the drama).

can you guys explain what you mean by that? i saw a lot of people talking about kmlm here and personally i passed…
The complaint about "Kill Me Love Me" Liu Xue Yi (Murong Jing -character), ((Wu Jin Yan, Mei lin-character), is that the first few episodes are captivating, there is a super charming and dangerous villain and a powerful and warrior heroine who create sparks together. But after a few episodes, it is revealed that he was pretending to be that way. In fact, he is a hero, a kind human being and in love with the heroine. The heroine is not so vengeful, she forgives all the hero's mistakes. (In the end, despite everything, he is a hero. He deserved a happy ending, but he is punished for past mistakes, for which he had already redeemed himself. They will only be happy together in the afterlife.)

I also think it’s good, but some scenes and plans are really poorly executed 😓
I'm going to watch today's episodes, but for the teasers (I think I'll like these scenes).

Title The Princess's Gambit Spoiler
I watched a scene from this episode on Weibo: when SZY shoots the arrow he aims at the rope that the villain was…
This scene with the arrow on the cliff is not in the book. She does not lose her memory (at least until chapter 129, the same one where she needs to spend some time in the palace, with the evil heir). And this happens because she ran away from SZY because he poisoned her (but... he would deliver the antiduct in time), but she ran away before. (there was a scene of jealousy in the garden, too aggressive, and she acted as if it were normal), but angry with him and indifferent, but still they ally themselves to defeat the heir to the throne (this is in the book). I think the drama was much more acceptable, more elegant scenes, less aggressive behavior (more acceptable). In the book I did not like this particular scene of jealousy in the cave in the garden (in the drama, from the teasers, I already know that I will watch it, and find it more acceptable than the scene in the book).

Well, I love this drama. I appreciate all the nuances in the story. The interaction and chemistry of the main couple is wonderful. I came here, watched an interpretation and not the live reality. I'm still going to watch today's episodes, because I'm at work.
Ps: If I depend only on people's opinions, I'm screwed. Because while some people belittle this drama, I think it's a gem, a work of art.

To truly enjoy a story, you shouldn’t rely only on what is shown, but also on what is implied from clues. There's no need to show someone’s bones breaking. Through the dialogue, we can already imagine and infer what has taken place.

Your thought is exactly what the male lead had in mind when he changed his approach to finding the female lead. He said, “Such fall injuries are rare cases. By checking the medicine used and treatment records, we might be able to find a lead.” Then, the scene shifts to show how many days passed during their search—even the male lead was counting the days. So when we later see the female lead is fine, we already understand the context or process behind it.

It depends on your taste, really. If you're fond of rom-coms and want to see a lovey-dovey, happy-go-lucky couple, this drama is not for you. Rather than going downhill, you will find it already at the bottom of the abyss from the earlier episodes.

This drama is dark, mature, and emotionally heavy. People are being hurt and tortured. The elites are corrupt. Love is overshadowed by distrust and the needs of survival. And, our ML is a Machiavellian INTJ man. He experiences love with calculation and anticipation in mind.

Some audiences might not like this drama, so they criticize the characters, the actress, the settings, the lack of martial arts and action, the lack of romance, and the plotline. But believe me, it is all a matter of preference. They expect to see A, but this drama delivers B.

However, if you take the time to watch it carefully, you may begin to see how all the pieces fit together into a cohesive whole. You might even discover something new that enriches your repertoire of drama watching.
