In the book, she begins to confess her love (to herself, recognizing the jealousy she begins to feel. And SZY begins to show his love for the lack he feels of having intimacy with her (this was when she lived in the prince's palace). So, I think the drama manages to show this ambiguity between love (and indifference, distrust). It is a double feeling that they feel (and the drama tries hard to show this). And I think it succeeds. We are always: They love each other. They don't love each other. But, in a certain way in the drama and in the book (the love is more evident on SZY's part). She only showed this feeling in the drama, it wasn't jealousy (but the memory of the intimacy she had with him, the flashes of memory). She feels the pain, because this feeling is revealed to herself now, but she herself has a closed heart more than SZY. To the point that he says, "You are crueler than me." He is speaking in the sense of love.

I'm enjoying the performances of all the actors. The drama is still interesting and is nearing its climax. There will still be plenty of adventure and conflict, and I remember some of LXY's costumes that I haven't seen yet (including some braids in his hair when he's fighting martial arts with enemies) and some BTS scenes.

I now understand your point. I'm sorry I misunderstood what you meant. But everything she said to SZY doesn't mean she doesn't want to be with him. (She's always putting her own goals first.) But you're right, he can't be happy this way. But she still doesn't seem to reciprocate, at least not as he deserves. (These 11 writers!!! What will the remaining 11 episodes be like. Their love story hasn't developed properly yet. I want a happy ending, but I just won't have time to develop it. (The events that close the last third of the book are very good for a love story).

I think the drama is well balanced. She may need to be saved by him (like in the novel), and yet, she is cold-blooded, makes her own decisions, and acts on her own. Every time he saved her it was very coherent. And their inner thoughts show their point of view of each other, and of what is happening, valuing both as in a book where there are two consciousnesses in the story. I find these moments between the two in the story so interesting, they are used skillfully here.

Ohh, I especially liked her in episode 24. She is SZY's conscience. She knows what's in his heart. It's a brotherly thing. I know, the vast majority of people here don't like her character. But I don't think most of her appearances are unnecessary.
