I haven't watched episode 38 yet, but....I'm coming to the conclusion that Yu Ru will only remember that LZS is the boy who gave her the colored pebbles as a child (in the past), only when he's dead. Then (if there is this scene), she will remember him. I think there is no dialogue at all. Everything will be between the lines.😓😓😓
Hope the last two episode does specify why LZS has a very unhappy childhood and why he cannot disclose his true…

Episode 36: The reunion was good. The weight of the scene was on Gu Jiu Si's reaction. A moment of recognition. That stare, almost disbelieving what he was seeing. But in this episode, the way it ends: that emperor's son. We already know what will happen. And the emperor, to make matters worse, mentions Gu Jiu Si, that he should be like Gu Jiu Si. And so... Luo Zi Shang is the one who manipulates and maneuvers events. But it won't be able to maneuver for long.

CKDramaddicts VIP 5 minutes ago I think his character is done well here because while he is clearly irredeemable and ruthless, he is also complex and somehow sympathetic, because you can trace how he became this way (sometimes the Big Bad Villain in a drama is just bad for the sake of being bad, or bad just because of the clichéd hunger for power and greed). His feelings towards LYR conveys the "what ifs" of his character.
