I am hanging with this for now, but it's still disappointing how fragmented this drama is. Each episode has a completely different tone and feel from the episode prior. Still holding out that there is a major reveal.
I really enjoyed the first episode. Looking forward to episode two tomorrow. That ending scene is enough of a tease to bring me back for another episode. Happy that The Red Sleeve is finally airing ~
Really enjoying this drama for the female-centered crime and the super-stylized direction. I really appreciated the matching of wits between the two leads. Dramaland needs more of these female-centered plots that highlight sharp, unlikeable & nuanced women.
Noticed that this is now available on Netflix, so I decided to finally watch this drama.
Yet, it looks like the episodes are spliced differently. Netflix has 34 45-min episodes rather than the 21 1-hr and 15-min episodes described here on MDL. Haha how funny and a bit confusing !
Finished this drama in a weekend. Even with the bad cgi and the sappy soundtrack, I found this drama surprisingly fun. I really appreciated the range of different monsters and all their unique gimmicks that link to each character's backstory. I do hope that Netflix will bring it back for season two.
It's interesting for me to read all these comments about how unlikeable the characters are in this drama. I have been really enjoying this drama. I feel that this drama has been successful at creating a unique tone that draws in its audience. I have appreciated how it depicts infatuation. It may be because I'm not watching this as love story ... more a story of toxic relationships.
Watching the finale now and thinking about how little has happened over the course of the drama. For me, it's kind of funny, how it feels like nothing happened. Seo In Guk and Park Bo Young were able to create a compelling chemistry, but story-wise the drama is pretty lackluster.
When will I learn to stay away from tvN fantasy? I keep getting burned.
This drama is getting absurd if it wasn't there already ... I feel like this last stunt is a really low blow. It's kind of killed my desire to continue with Penthouse. Right now, I'll gonna put it on hold, but I may end up dropping it.
erm, it is just me or are the last two episodes (8 & 9) super draggy? there isn't a lot happening in these episodes and every time the story shifts to the second storyline, I completely disconnect. may have to shelf this until it starts picking up again ...
Trying to get back into this, now that the pilot of the 3rd season is out. Anyone else struggling like I am? This is a new level of messy even for Penthouse! How are we going to cope?
Though the direction and quality of the overall story are still in question. The acting chops of the three leading ladies are indisputable. The ending scene of episode 7 left me in a pile on the floor of raw emotions.
I am really starting to appreciate the analogy of the elephant trapped in the doorway.
So far, I find it much more restrained than Penthouse. Where Penthouse went for the shock factor, Mine seems more about underlying desires and unspoken intensions. When I was watching Penthouse, it kept me tuning in for the looming dumpster fire, while for Mine I am mostly in awe of the beautiful women. I'm hoping the plot for this one will be worthwhile and rewarding, but I know there are many comments addressing how predictable it is. I like it for now though!
I really am enjoying this drama so far. I'm hoping that this will deliver on the promise to be a relationship heavy drama that tackles desire, ambition, and greed in an extremely privileged, hierarchical family. Thus far, I appreciate the more subdued and subtle tone.

Good opening week -- Looking forward to next week already!
