I have a feeling that his reasoning for maintaining the face of the company is just a facade. He doesn’t know how to interact with cheong ah despite loving her.
Honestly, if he didn’t have great affection towards cheong ah, I don’t see why he would take up eun gyeol’s preposition in the first place. Because whatever eun gyeol is offering, it wouldn’t stand if president yoon didn’t value cheong ah.
From cheong ah’s perspective, her mum was probably the only person who was present and even attempted to make a connection with her. As can be seen, her dad is very absent from her life, and it could’ve been that case since she was young. Imagine losing the only person in your life who accept you as you are, what more if you are still a child. And to protect the image cheong ah has of her mum, whom she likely held in high regards and as a loving person in her eyes, he never really told her the real reason why her mum had to leave like this.

It’s probably because this is the drama that introduced me to tian xi wei and with the fact that i like watching gu zhuang cdramas better, i’d recommend: New Life Begins! I really enjoyed the various relationship showed among the characters and also the storytelling/pacing was good for me. It’s a super feel-good drama that can easily put a smile on your face from all the characters’ antics!

I really really really hope she takes on the drama Qian Duo Tao Hua Yi Shi Kai. And as you have mentioned, it’s a xian xia drama, bonus is that the female protagonist has a big role in moving the story along. The character is also a bit different from her usual sweet girl image I feel. Really hope that if possible she’ll take up the opportunity to be part of it!

Here I was thinking I’ve never heard of these actors before, but it turns out i’ve seen both of them in dramas before! Maybe for me TXW fits this role because I came into this novel with her in mind as the FL 😅 As for the ML, I shall just wait and see !

You’ve finished it really quickly! I’m actually still going at it unfortunately, it was much harder than I expected reading all of it in mandarin, especially when there are the nuances that could only be understood in mandarin, so I’m still struggling through it and understanding the story through context. Would you mind sharing if they had a happy/wholesome ending? Too many xian xia drama end up with emo endings so I was hoping to at least have something to look forward to for the novel!

Actually, I felt that 魔族 and 妖族 could both be translated as demons in english but calling characters devil goddess or the devil realm sounded weird, hence the decision on using demons/monsters instead to differentiate.
